Most of us should have enough polling PTSD to be cautious in how bullish we are about Dems destroying GOP candidates next month. The biggest indicators for me are candidate behavior and where money is being spent. And Republicans are clearly freaking out at their internals and are having to spend money in all kinds of places that should be safe for them.
The point of my Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― all day isn't to be nihilistic. My view is this: You have the polls. Then you have a bunch of reasons the polls might be too bullish on Ds, then a bunch of reasons why they might be too bearish on Ds. 1/

Indian American doctor: *does heart surgery on Wanye and saves his life* Wanye: How dare you rob my children of their birthright
If one of my kids works really hard and accomplishes something, but another one of my kids is lazy and expects the same rewards, then I appeal to meritocracy. If a total stranger knocks on my door and claims that they should have my kids’ birthright because they work harder than any of them, then I slam the door in their face. This is not even remotely difficult to understand.

Yesterday my husband and dad had their annual Jordan vs LeBron argument. I swear to God I’ve heard it so many times that I’ve become super informed about it just through repeated exposure. Which is crazy because I know nothing about basketball.

This hardly needs to be said, but if anyone in our government is waiting on accurate, quick, or open information from the Russian dictatorship, that is insufficient.
NEW!! State Dept says it is β€œmonitoring the situation closely” following reports of a fatal suspected pneumonic plague case in Russia, urging Moscow to share accurate information β€œquickly and openly.”

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

I don’t know whether or not this is real, but it sounds like the kind of thing a jihadist would make a captive say on camera.
It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I feel happy that I got to show Elon how it feels to be deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness. Given the tumultuous nature of his early life, his often tortured soul, and how hard he fights for humanity I wanted him to feel the deepest and most stable form of love this world can provide. My heart is full knowing I got to do that, and I hope it leaves a lasting good effect. We were always his safe space. A place where all of us were overjoyed to see him and one that was always full of happiness and love, not war, in contrast to his otherwise militant existence (a needed break from the battlefield where he could recharge his heart and soul before heading back out) I loved being that counterbalancing place of safety, sense of calm, and love β€” and delighted in bringing a smile back to his face when he was down. I will miss him dearly. I’ve loved him more than life itself and he’s taught me 100 lifetimes of knowledge and made my cup overflow with life meaning, so there is a lot of loss, but luckily we created four beautiful little loves of my life ❀️❀️❀️❀️ I am so beyond grateful for our children and they make every single day the best day of my life! I do hope and pray he and I can be great friends and coparents. I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness. God speed, Elon, the world is lucky to have you.

When we tell MAGA nationalists "you don't understand economics," we're not saying only money matters or philosophy has no role in weighing tradeoffs. We're saying your grasp of how the world works is so poor your policies would fail on your own terms, or any reasonable person's. – at Irving, TX

He’s not stepping away from anything. This guy is using Trump to iterate his fascist project. His boy is still in the WH and he’s definitely going to run in 2028.
Watching people who propped up this corrupt disaster of an administration for their own enrichment start to slowly back away with their hands up will be good for short term dunks, but thats not good enough. It should be a reputational nuke from which these people never recover.

Watching these people prostrate themselves before Trump, treat his stupid "super intelligence" coinage like solid gold, just screams that they're too morally, ethically, and intellectually compromised to be entrusted with so much power and should absolutely be regulated

You don’t want an honest answer. But here it is - start with acknowledging you don’t know what you’re talking about. Then work from there.
I'm of the opinion that the Republicans actually need to win widely in the midterms, especially in Congress, that the Democrats are historically dangerous and should lose almost everywhere, but also that the rise of the Woke Right has to be crushed. How should I navigate this?
