Nine years ago, Cardano's first block was minted. Since then: 2,890 stake pools. 13,978,119 blocks. 123,982,111 transactions. A constitution, ratified on-chain. 36,322 votes on 158 governance actions. And a vibrant community behind all of it. Here's to many more years. 🎂

1/3 The attention may be elsewhere. We’re still building on Cardano Hydra ! We’ve been exploring Hydra from infrastructure and developer tooling all the way to real applications.

2/3 Our latest experiment: Mines on Hydra. For us, blockchain makes sense where users shouldn’t have to simply “trust the platform” - game logic, transactions and settlement can become more transparent and verifiable.

3/3 Hydra gives us the speed needed for a Web2-like experience. Infrastructure → developer tools → real dApps. Step by step, we’re turning Hydra from technology into something people can actually use. 🫡 #Cardano #Hydra

Step by step, Hydra’s bottlenecks are being addressed. 💧 Scaling also means making it easier for users and liquidity to enter a Hydra Head. Today, deposits are processed one at a time, each requiring its own snapshot and L1 increment transaction. When many users deposit simultaneously, queues can grow—and some deposits may expire before being processed. Hydra issue #2859 proposes batched deposits: allowing multiple eligible deposits to be included in a single snapshot and claimed through one L1 increment transaction. For builders like us at Vtechcom, the potential value is practical: • Shorter deposit queues during bursts of activity. • Fewer L1 increment transactions for the same set of deposits. • Smoother onboarding when many users arrive together. Think of a game launch or a trading application receiving a wave of liquidity. Fast execution inside the Head matters. Getting users’ funds into it efficiently matters too. This is still a proposal, with security guarantees, transaction limits and failure handling to get right. But it addresses a concrete barrier to real-world usage. One bottleneck at a time. One step closer to Hydra applications that can serve more users. github.com/cardano-scaling/h… #Hydra #Cardano @sharan_konerira @v0d1ch

New week, new tools! Hydra SDK Playground is here – compose Cardano & Hydra transactions right in the browser. playground.hydrasdk.com/ What you can do: • Pick UTxOs, add outputs, native assets, datum & metadata • Build → Sign → Submit in one flow (partial sign supported) • Inspect as summary / CBOR / JSON • Copy ready-to-use TypeScript code Works on Preprod, Preview & Mainnet. Signing happens 100% in your browser – keys never leave your machine. This version: reworked UI + full metadata & script support. Try it now and ship faster #Hydra #Cardano #CardanoDev #Web3

We’ve started integrating @PythNetwork into our first experimental application. Our initial impressions: - Highly diverse data feeds: Broad coverage across multiple asset classes, with aggregated data from more than 100 institutional publishers, including exchanges, market makers, and trading firms. - Strong stability: Reference prices are accompanied by clear confidence intervals, with low latency and high consistency across multiple consecutive update cycles. It looks like a perpetual engine is beginning to warm up at #Hydra speed. 👀 A big thank-you to the #Pentad (@IOGroup, @Cardano_CF, @IntersectMBO @emurgo_io @MidnightNtwrk) for making this valuable support available. We hope to make the most of it. After all, we certainly cannot let a service package worth around $2,500 per month go to waste!

1/4 We are officially releasing a major update to Hydra SDK, designed for the era of AI-assisted software development. ⚡ hydrasdk.com/resources/chang… hydrasdk.com/ai Hydra SDK is our effort to reduce the gap between Hydra’s powerful protocol and real-world applications. Instead of requiring every team to understand the entire infrastructure stack and all the low-level technical complexity from day one, developers can use familiar TypeScript tools to build: • Games • Payment applications • Trading platforms • Better wallet experiences • High-frequency dApps • Other real-time applications on Cardano The easier Hydra becomes for developers to access and build with, the faster the ecosystem can move from technological potential to real-world adoption.

3/4 Hydra SDK documentation is now also designed for the era of AI-assisted software development. AI coding assistants can access the latest official documentation through: • An open-standard MCP server • llms.txt and llms-full.txt • Raw Markdown documentation • Content in English, Vietnamese and Japanese hydrasdk.com/ai This allows developers to use AI to understand Hydra SDK, configure projects, explore APIs and generate integration code based on the latest official documentation—instead of relying on outdated training data or allowing AI to guess how the SDK works.

4/4 For developers, this can shorten the journey from an initial idea to a working Hydra application. For the wider Cardano community, it represents something even more important: More accessible development tools can attract more builders. More builders can create more applications. And more useful applications can drive real-world adoption. Hydra’s performance has already been demonstrated. Now we need to make it easier for the next generation of developers, supported by both human expertise and AI, to build on top of it. Explore Hydra SDK: hydrasdk.com GitHub: github.com/Vtechcom/hydra-sd… We welcome developers, testers and community members to join us, share feedback and help bring more real-world applications to Hydra. #CardanoDevelopers #HydraSDK #MCP #AI #Web3

After one week of testing Hydra v2.2.0 with one of our application prototypes, Partial Fanout has proven to be a very practical upgrade for builders developing real-world applications on Hydra. Since Hydra v2.0, direct open heads have already made the workflow faster and cheaper by removing the old commit phase and simplifying the head lifecycle. In high-frequency applications, a long session can generate many UTxOs inside a Hydra Head. Before Partial Fanout, closing the Head could be limited by what can fit into a single fanout transaction on L1. With Partial Fanout, large states inside a Head no longer need to be settled in just one transaction. They can be fanned out through multiple verifiable steps, making long sessions and large UTxO sets much more practical. From a builder’s perspective, this removes a very real bottleneck. Hydra is becoming more useful for applications that need a fast experience while still preserving Cardano’s transparency and verifiability. A very meaningful step forward from the Hydra team. @IOGroup @sharan_konerira #Cardano #Hydra #Layer2 github.com/cardano-scaling/h…
