Today my American friend called me. She sounded heartbroken. She kept saying how sorry she was that the U.S. attacked Iran. Then she paused… because I was laughing. Not because war is funny. Not because lives don’t matter. But because she doesn’t understand what 47 years of tyranny feels like. I told her: When you’ve lived under a regime that jails, tortures, kills your people, funds terror, and threatens the world , you stop fearing the noise of explosions. You start fearing the silence of inaction. We don’t want war. We want the end of a regime that has held an entire nation hostage and destabilized half the planet.
