During a call with DHS officials last week, a top official in the Nevada secretary of state's office interrupted a presentation to correct how one DHS official was pronouncing Nevada.
People in my district and across Nevada are being priced out of their homes. Last session, I passed a bill to help protect renters from eviction and reduce barriers to affordable housing, which was vetoed by Gov. Lombardo.
Next session, I will continue this fight to ensure every Nevadan has access to safe and affordable housing.

As we celebrate our country’s independence and the struggle for freedom and equality, let’s remember those who are still being denied them: immigrants, LGBTQ people, and those who are still being persecuted for their religion.
Across my district and Nevada, housing is increasingly out of reach for too many. The price of everything from rentals to buying a single-family home is rising faster than wages.
