State Representative proudly serving the people of Tennessee’s 50th District

Bellevue, Tennessee

Nikki Haley: “There are certain decisions that will go down as history-defining moments. This is one of them. It's a terrible misjudgment of Putin, who has made it clear he wants to destroy the West. We shouldn't help him do it.” Mitt Romney: “Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.” Thom Tillis: “Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.” Laura Loomer: “Putin’s goal is to take Ukraine. Then he will take Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and he will make his way through all of Europe. People obsess over personalities too much. You could have an election in Ukraine tomorrow and Putin would still find a reason to be at war. Russia INVADED Ukraine. Not the other way around. Zelenskyy’s removal from office won’t stop Russian imperialism. It’s not about Zelenskyy. It’s about Putin. It’s always been about Putin.” John Cornyn: “Helping Putin in Ukraine is reckless. He would not stop with Ukraine and our NATO allies would be next. Putin is fanatically committed to restoring Russia’s glory days, calling the collapse of the Soviet Union ‘the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century’ and claiming Russia was ‘robbed’ in the breakup. . . Congress Must Investigate Trump’s Aid and Comfort to Putin.”

ARE WE BEING SHUT OUT? Voters have a right to know what is happening behind the scenes with NewsChannel 5’s efforts to cover the GOP primary in the race for Tennessee governor. We want to have a news crew at Marsha Blackburn’s election night headquarters in Knoxville to provide coverage if she becomes the Republican nominee. But Sen. Blackburn’s campaign has left NewsChannel 5 off of communications with the media regarding election night logistics. We have made repeated efforts to reach the campaign to make arrangements for getting inside the event, but those outreach efforts have been ignored. Is this the price for trying to get the leading candidate for governor to answer questions about her positions on the issues? Is this the price for accurately reporting that her office faced a confidential ethics investigation last year for engaging in political activity at taxpayer expense? Is this the price for once again accurately reporting that she misled another journalist about the outcome of that ethics investigation? In other words, is this the price for simply doing our jobs? And, finally, if these are the games the Blackburn team plays when they are seeking the votes of Tennesseans, what will happen if she assumes control of the Governors office for four years? We’ll let you know if they change their minds.

We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago. Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium. The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil. The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said. Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule. The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years. But sure. My paintings.

Update from the reflecting pool! The pool has been drained, and there are no signs of the giant gash that Donald Trump has been lying about. No indications of major vandalism. Just a bad paint job. The only thing that’s been exposed is that Trump has been lying about this.

If only if Trump cared as much about the real bad guys. One system moves fast. The other never gets moving. Who Agrees ✋

If you steal a paint chip it's 10 years in prison but take what you want from our Capitol, that's worth a pardon.

So let me get this straight: Pulling a chunk of paint out of the Reflecting Pool gets you arrested for vandalism, but trump’s terrorists who attacked the Capitol, killed cops, broke windows, stole shit, and smeared their feces on the walls get to go free?

The humiliating Iran deal requires the U.S. to come up with a $300 billion reparations payment to Iran. That's more than Iran's entire GDP. Trump says taxpayers won't pay for it. 1/ So I compiled a helpful list.

A brand new bridge between Detroit and Canada is finished and ready to open. It would speed up traffic for millions of trucks, cut delays for American businesses, and help the auto industry that employs people in every state. There is just one problem. Donald Trump won’t let it open. Here is why. The family that owns the old bridge stands to lose business when the new one opens. So in January, they gave one million dollars to a pro-Trump super PAC. Weeks later they met with Trump’s Commerce Secretary. He called Trump. Hours after that, Trump announced he would block the new bridge. The opening was set for June 12. It got canceled the day before. The bridge sits there finished and empty. Now here is the part that should make every taxpayer angry. Canada paid for the entire bridge. Every dollar. And the United States already owns half of it for free. Trump is holding up a bridge we got for nothing, to protect a donor who wrote him a check, while picking a fight with our closest ally and biggest trading partner. This is corruption in plain sight. A billionaire pays, and the President delivers. American workers and businesses pay the price. Open the bridge. A government should work for the people, not for whoever writes the biggest check. nytimes.com/2026/02/20/us/po…

Trump’s humiliating Iran surrender in one chart: Obama: 98% uranium cut, enrichment capped, sanctions in place, 0 American lives lost. Trump: $25B unfrozen, sanctions lifted, Hormuz tolls for Iran, 15 dead + 543 injured Americans, $2.2 TRILLION cost. So weak! #TrumpSurrendered

Gowdy: Iran is better off than they were before hostilities began and that should not be the consequence of war. We had total control over that country. When you're in that position, you negotiate from strength. You don't give people money. The regime has not changed. They are just richer

CNN montage of Trump bashing the JCPOA and releasing any money to Iran: I would have never given him back the money. I would have said, the money is off the table. Let's start negotiating. And you know what? I would have won that negotiation
