The TN Leg has worked hard to undermine public schools and cause parents to be fearful of sending their kids. Proud of all the systems that have said they won't be party to putting guns in schools ✊❤️

New plot being discussed! HB 1191 - first on the House floor tomorrow - could be amended for school vouchers. Even if it does not have the votes, school privatization activists want to get people on the record on “school choice” so they know who to target during upcoming campaigns.

A lot of eyeballs in Tennessee legislature are on HB390/SB191 - which could become a vehicle for school vouchers, skipping Finance Committee. The budget bill, on the House floor at 4 pm, has funding for vouchers. A GOP leader assured me recently that the bill would NOT be used for vouchers, but things can change. Next step will be watching House Calendar and Rules, which meets sometime today. HB390 needs a vote there to move to the House floor. wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/Bil…
