Together with our #SolarPowerNigeria partners, we raised our concerns, and the Government responded positively- No Ban An outright import ban would undermine access to affordable solar energy for millions of Nigerians. We must expand access while investing in local manufacturing of quality solar panels, batteries and accessories. #Vote4CleanEnergy #SolarForEveryone #ActWithGIFSEP

The Federal Government has put the immediate ban on imported solar panels on hold until local production can meet demand. "We can't ban solar panel importation if we can't produce locally." Minister @KingsleyUdehSAN on NTA. A welcome development. #SolarPowerNigeria
