Hi neighbors, My name is Brock Skinner, and I’m running for Austin City Council in District 3.
I’m a regular citizen who believes Austin deserves leadership that puts taxpayers first, prioritizes public safety, supports small businesses, and gets our city’s spending under control.
My opponents want to freeze police spending, oppose city audits and will continue the status quo of regular tax hikes.
🎥 Watch this video to learn more about me, my campaign, and where I stand on the issues.
With Election Day on November 3rd, I hope I can earn your support and your vote. Let’s get Austin moving in the right direction!

Brock seems like a regular guy who sees a problem with government, and wants to put himself out there to help the average Austin citizen…!
That is exactly what the Founding Fathers envisioned when they started this grand experiment known as the United States of America…..
Brock is not in it for the money, the power, the connections, not looking to advance a far leftist political agenda, nor any agenda for that matter.
Skinner is just a regular guy trying to help the city get back on it’s feet for the benefit of all Austin citizens.
Vote for Brock, he sees a problem, and he is trying to fix it the right way.
This is a good man we should all support.
Vote 4 Brock in District 3. Do it today…!
You will not regret it.

Man pays and rents soccer field in Austin park
Man shows up to use park
Austin shuts the lights and tells him to go away
The children are sad
Meanwhile we have people living in the parks and trails, menacing others and enjoying open air drug use
I hope Owen DOES visit our city council — they meet weekly at 10
AM on Thursdays, ahem

Will one person on that dais pull this outrageous tap and pay spending?
Austin City Hall is about to send up to $520,000 to three newsrooms that cover Austin City Hall.
On Thursday, the City Council will vote on a $2.34 million ad campaign that includes three local newsrooms:
KVUE: $175,000
KXAN: $175,000
Austin American-Statesman: $170,000
Nearly all of the newsroom money comes from a federal EPA program meant to cut car pollution -- basically to convince people to drive less and take the bus or bike or carpool.
The city doesn't have to take bids, because TX law exempts advertising from competitive bidding. City Hall gets to choose which outlets get paid and how much.
It's on the consent agenda, so it passes without discussion unless a council member pulls it.
It’s a beautiful morning for early voting!
If you’d like to talk directly with your local candidate, I’ll be outside the South Austin Rec Center voting location all day. Come say hi.

If you care about affordability in Austin and not having your tax money given to every person or entity that asks for it, you should probably vote for candidates like this👇
Also @Vote4Brock @BrinkEliza15442 @StevenforAustin @Bowen4Austin
At a candidate forum, I was asked if I would commit to giving a particular non-profit $2.1M when I became a City Council member. I said no in front of 500 people. The other candidates at the forum said yes. There are needs assessment, budget, & procurement processes to follow.

It’s about putting candidates who put public safety and American citizens first. Neha is not that candidate.
And who candidates reach out to and what rings they kiss should be a non-issue.
Anyway, it’s not for us to decide, it’s for the people of Austin to decide,

Austin: Your money. Your city. Your right to know.
An independent audit means greater transparency, stronger accountability, and a commitment to responsible budgeting—not a blank check for government spending. Vote for accountability. Vote for fiscal responsibility. Vote Aye for Prop i!

Muny isn’t saved yet. It’s saved pending six votes. Anonymous donors got the deal this far, but on Nov. 19 it takes 6 of 11 Council members to say yes.
I looked for anyone on record against it. Here’s what I found: frommackenzie.substack.com/p… #atxcouncil
