$IAUX ⛏️ Deep Dive into i-80 Gold's Q2 2026 Earnings & 2030 Upside
i-80 Gold is rapidly establishing itself as a premier Nevada-focused mid-tier gold producer. With a massive resource base and a hub-and-spoke model leveraging the Lone Tree autoclave, they are uniquely positioned in a tier-1 mining jurisdiction.
Q2 2026 Earnings Analysis:
Production is ramping up. The company delivered 11,098 oz of gold, from 4,178 oz in Q2 2025.
This growth was driven by the Granite Creek underground project, which continues to advance ahead of plan and is on track to hit its full-year guidance.
Revenues came in at $24.3M with an average realized gold price of $4,522/oz.
Gross profit to $8.6M from $0.8M YoY.
While the adjusted net loss widened to $41.2M, this was entirely driven by heavy but necessary pre-development and exploration expenditures as they advance multiple key assets simultaneously.
The balance sheet remains heavily fortified with $464.6M in cash and cash equivalents, ensuring their aggressive Phase 1 and 2 expansion is fully funded.
Operationally, the Archimedes underground project is advancing on schedule for first gold mined in Q4 2026, and Lone Tree plant demolition has officially begun ahead of major construction.
2030 Forecast & Valuation:
Fast forward to Phase 2 (2030-2031).
i-80 is targeting an average annual production of 300,000 - 400,000 oz.
Assuming a midpoint of 350,000 oz and an estimated AISC of ~$1,500/oz across operations, let's look at the cash flow potential using today's real-time gold spot price of ~$4,393/oz.
EBITDA Estimate (2030): ~350,000 oz x $2,893/oz margin = ~$1.01 Billion!
Now let's look at the current valuation:
stock price of ~$1.62, the Market Cap stands at ~$1.40 Billion.
Net Debt is actually a negative -$26.6M (a net cash position).
This gives an Enterprise Value (EV) of just $1.37 Billion.
The 2030 EV/EBITDA multiple is a staggering 1.36x based on current spot prices! The market is severely discounting this fully-funded, multi-asset growth pipeline.

$IAUX (I-80 Gold): The Most Undervalued Miner on the Market?
At a current Market Cap of just ~$1.23 Billion, the valuation disconnect here is absolutely staggering. The biggest catalyst?
The company is now fully funded with over $513M in cash, entirely de-risking their aggressive expansion plan to become a 600,000 oz/year mid-tier gold producer.
Let’s look at the peer comps: Alamos Gold ($AGI) currently produces roughly 600k oz annually and commands a massive ~$18.2 Billion Market Cap. That means $IAUX is trading at an unbelievable ~15x discount compared to its future mid-tier peers!
Factor in today's incredible macro environment with spot Gold sitting around $4,730/oz and Silver surging near $88/oz, and the margin leverage on those future 600k ounces becomes astronomical.
The funding overhang is completely gone. The balance sheet is rock solid. The macro conditions are perfect.
A massive re-rating to close this valuation gap seems inevitable.
