"So, how'd you get into bitcoin?" Me: LSD
Replying to @FractalEncrypt
And to bring it all back home, this is the art that brought me into bitcoin. I made some 900-hit sheets of blotter art from my Grateful Dead 50th Anniversary art, and a guy from Brazil wanted to buy 50 sheets, and wanted to know if I would accept Bitcoin. I told him I would, but I had no idea how to accept it. He helped me set up a web wallet and sent me 3.1 bitcoins for the art, and quietly disappeared back into the internet. I ever heard from him again, but whoever you are...thank you, and I think of you often and warmly.

I got the board today, plugged it in, flashed Kern from the web flasher and had it working in minutes. Built from source in under 20 minutes and re-flashed. The board needed a case tho, so I designed something quick in illustrator and walked out to the laser...custom wood case in another 20 minutes...

It would be cool to encode a bitcoin seed within the colors of a painting...maybe people are already doing this. But hex codes are SO specific that I think only a computer could solve the puzzle if they were out there...color blends also make paintings difficult, so maybe stained glass would be a better carrier...yes stained glass on the citadel cathedrals...

Algorithm, please show this photo to the few folks on the planet who will grok the intersection of LSD blotter art and manual BIP39 seed word entropy generation.

I'd like to point out that this exceptional and notable because this is a Free and Open Source project that charges ZERO for their software and I believe the whole team is unpaid (because how would they pay them?) Peak bitcoiners! BTCpayserver is donating almost half a bitcoin to OTHER Open Source projects helping or affected by the issue. They're also putting up a bounty for recovering stolen funds, 10% of amounts recovered, up to 3 BTC max. If you have info that could help recover the funds, contact [email protected]. Share their tweet for visibility if you're feeling inclined to do so...
We're donating 0.21 BTC to @craigraw and 0.21 BTC to the Bitcoin Red Team for their responsible security disclosure of the recent critical vulnerability. In addition, friends and supporters of the BTCPay Server project have committed to funding a bounty to recover the stolen funds. The bounty will be 10% of the amount recovered, up to a maximum of 3 BTC for full recovery of the funds. These are modest contributions, but they are what we can offer as a FOSS project and a way to appreciate people doing critical security work, which helps the entire ecosystem. To anyone with actionable information that could lead to a recovery, including the attacker, please contact: [email protected]. Signal and other secure communication channels can be provided upon request. If multiple reports contribute to the recovery, the bounty will be split in coordination with the victims, based on the amount each victim lost, the funds recovered, how useful the information was to the recovery efforts, and other relevant factors.

Hubris check: I have said multiple times in public that if I hadn’t come up with @SeedSigner, that I would probably have been a coldcard user. I liked their messaging on privacy issues, I liked that they were bitcoin-only, and even I had the impression that rodolfo’s arrogance was the product of some level of expertise and having-your-shit-togetherness. I can’t blame many people for being convinced by the marketing. What matters from here is how people move forward. Dive in. Learn more. Do the work. Ask questions. Trust less. Get to a point where you have failsafes and diversified custody. Learn about multisig and at least give it a try (hint: you just need one SeedSigner to do this). Even if you decide it’s not for you, you’ll feel better about your setup and can share what you’ve learned with others. Take more control, not less — don’t be a cold storage NPC. 🧡

Understand Bitcoin - the best you can. It’s a teacher of many subjects and disciplines. It’s a mirror. It’s a revolution. It’s a transformation.

If you have a few minutes and are into Bitcoin Art, I HIGHLY recommend this video. Probably one of the more creative gallery-videos I've ever seen. Give it a sec, don't expect instant gratification - sit with it a few minutes. For real. @BTCPrague @kucharmartin_ @Matyas44Cook
A look back at the BTC Prague 2026 art gallery.⚡️ Thank you @FractalEncrypt for putting it together. Much love. The line up of artists I shared the space with 👇

Reflections. Bitcoin is a mirror.
It's been 2 days since @BTCPrague and I will soon share photos and all the amazing experiences. But I want to share something that's been on my mind (and heart) since I left. The energy and people at the conference were incredible. It felt like home, it felt like hope, it felt like a different path really is possible. Everyone loved the art gallery. @FractalEncrypt, did an incredible job curating, preparing and just being there with a humble smile, ready to help with whatever small detail anyone asked for. The work was outstanding. The gallery always gives an extra added value to conferences. It lets people see and feel what all this is about. Extremely talented people that put their heart and hours and hours of work into creating things that never existed. Into bringing beauty, knowledge and depth into this space and into this world. I personally know the sweat, tears and enormous amounts of effort that go into each of these pieces. But the incredible reception of the gallery was not reflected in the overall sales. Many artists didn't sell anything and many works were sold below their value. In the three days at the conference , I had many conversations with different artists, all saying the same thing. How can I keep creating and also pay the bills? Many have FIAT jobs, but that leaves little time for creation. Real art takes time. I genuinely believe art is one of the foundations of humanity. Bitcoin can change where the world is headed, but we also need to ask ourselves what we want that world to look like. There have been talks about getting institutions and patrons to fund art. I, personally, think institutional funding kills creativity and that's not part of the world we're trying to create. Artists need to be free to do their thing. We don't know what the masters would have painted in the past if they were truly free. And thats one of the things Bitcoin Art should be. Freely created art. To not have to depend on institutions or grants, that freedom has to come from collectors who are interested in the work, who see something in it and see the importance of being in that artist's journey. There are so many talented artists in this space and we can't afford to lose their art and send these artists to just do a FIAT job that pays their bills and stop creating. So if you enjoyed the art gallery, next time you want to add some love to your house, check out bitcoin art. Add a piece of history, culture and hope and help keep the heart of this space going by allowing artists to continue creating. To be very clear , this isn't an ask for charity. It is an invitation to be a part of creating history, to build and be part of a decentralised web of patrons of the new bitcoin civilization. @HouseOfRalfus did an amazing job moderating this conversation in the conference with @FractalEncrypt @Eric_BIGfund and @DrJackKruse. Two collectors who already understand this. Two of many that have been supporting bitcoin art continuously and with so much love. But we need more, if this is truly to be decentralized and to grow the culture in this space. My collectors aren't just people that buy my art, they are people that are walking with me on this journey and I am extremely grateful for that. We will continue this conversation on the 'Movement of Art' podcast. In the meantime, if you've read up to here , I will tag many artists you can check out in the comments. And if I've missed someone, please add them. If bitcoin is still in it's early stages, bitcoin art is in its extremely early stages. This is your heads up to get in early.🔥

An amazing few days in Prague. Equal parts exhausted and energised. The energy from my fellow Bitcoin artists and plebs has been incredible. Anyone who says you should only stack sats and skip the conferences misses the point. Bitcoin is about human connection. That’s the real network. Thank you @BTCPrague for an amazing event and for giving space to our culture and our community. Thank you @FractalEncrypt for putting on a spectacular gallery. Until next block…
