My first abortion was at 15. The boy & his friends threatened to kill me if I didn’t “get rid of it”. My parents didn’t know, my school counsellor let me skip school for the procedure, & picked me up afterwards. I caught the train alone to the clinic & there were protestors at the front calling me a murderer. The counsellor dropped me at the end of my street so my parents didn’t see me. I got in the front door & put my school bag down like it was a normal day. My mother asked, “how was school?”.
