I don't understand how you can say it's reportedly confirmed as real, but then in replies say it's unconfirmed. @Dexerto do better.
I've finally put my feelings about Universes Beyond to writing I think.
Jesse, love your content, so before hand please don't think I'm a hater.
The problems with Universes Beyond aren't that MTG players hate the people coming into it. It's the oversaturation and consumerism that comes with it.
Magic the gathering has had an issue with an overwhelming amount of sets and collection(ism) of the game. And with it people have lost their spark for a game that they love because of the overflowing amount of content that feels just... below par? Than normal.
If all Universes Beyond sets were like Avatar or the Final Fantasy Set, a lot of players would feel happy about it. But the fact is, we don't.
The oversaturation of IP from different media into the Magic the Gathering franchise has led to it almost feeling like a slopification of the game. It doesn't feel healthy, and it's the main reason why I quit content creation on it.
Sets feel unoriginal, parasitic (in MTG terms), and geared towards players looking to play the IP of the set vs Magic as a whole, and the Magic Lore/World feels like it's taken a backseat to Universes Beyond.
I don't hate Universes Beyond folks. I welcome them in, but understand that Universes Beyond is something that turns off a lot of people because it's a turning point to the quality of Magic the Gathering as a whole.

I should've listened to everyone that warned me.
Crimson Desert was SO bad, and I am usually used to taking so much BS from games. The controls were horrible, the random zooming made me nauseus.
This is the first time I'm actually recommending people stay away from a game.
