I've just tried @VoidLinux root tarball as @freebsd's /compat/linux payload for linuxlator. Aside from slight SSL certificate woes from xbps-install, it seems to work. I can even chroot there. The most BSDy Linux working in the most Linuxy BSB might be worth exploring deeper.

Dear @VoidLinux people: My question is out of sheer curiosity - are there any big VoidLinux-based deployments with software written in #Erlang? Void is the only distribution I know that has a main repository following all Erlang updates and patches so methodically.

Just got @VoidLinux booted on a @FriendlyARM_ NanoPi A64 w/ mainline kernel and u-boot and let me say it's been a long time since I felt so accomplished at getting to a login prompt.

Spent today tracking down and fixing a fairly serious security-impact bug in musl/i386 that's been present since 2013. 32-bit x86 users should patch. openwall.com/lists/musl/2019…

After 14 years of Gentoo (and later Calculate) I have moved to Void Linux. Flight is normal yet. There are unpolished things but I like the simple style of the distro. I could recommend #VoidLinux for old school Linux users.
