Voices for Autism

We want to develop a news outlet for autistic adults to voice their opinions on political and world issues. The news would be presented in a way they’re able to understand. It would also help them feel comfortable discussing topics. #theirvoicematters

One struggle we see with autistic adults, is finding jobs. With 73% of them wanting to work, only 19% do. (“Autism on the Rise”). We want to create a website that helps autistic adults find jobs fitted for them. For example, bagging groceries. #theirvoicematters

Technology plays a big role in communication throughout our society. It also serves as an advantage to help them voice their feelings and thoughts. #theirvoicematters

How many times do you see Autistic adults in your community meetings? We want to create a safe environment for those individuals to voice their opinions on community issues. For example, we would like to encourage them to participate in small jury duty cases. #theirvoicematters
