Fascinating they've chosen to actively lie. The bill isn't 'voted down' at all, it's still alive and well in the Parl system. They just voted to send it to committee review - a valid & regularly used process - which will inevitably show it couldn't survive a legal challenge.

Plans for a taxpayer-funded statue of former Victorian premier Daniel Andrews have been scrapped by Premier Ben Carroll. The $134,000 statue was commissioned earlier this year to recognise Andrews’ more than 3,000 days in office. An independent panel will instead recommend an alternative subject and location for the commissioned work. Watch 10 News at 5pm for more details.

Lots of noise on this. Having Pickering in the poll with Carroll/Wilson is annoying when trying to see the accurate impact of Carroll coming in, but minor bounce from Lib to Labor should've been expected anyway, the previous hatred was so strongly tied to Jacinta herself.
