Safe toilets mean women and girls can access clean, secure sanitation facilities with dignity, safety and equal opportunities to learn, work and participate in society.
Safe toilets mean health. 1 in 5 people still lack a place to wash their hands with soap and water at home. For women and girls, safe sanitation supports healthier lives and brighter futures. What do safe toilets mean to you? #WorldToiletDay 🚽worldtoiletday.org

Sometimes, caring for the planet looks as simple as picking up the rubbish and putting it where it belongs. #ClimateAction
If there’s a litter bin, use it. If there isn’t, please keep your rubbish until you find one😌🙏 Poorly managed waste contributes to pollution, affects our health and ecosystems, and is linked to climate change. According to @UNEP Global Waste Management Outlook 2024, global municipal waste could reach 3.8 billion tonnes by 2050 if urgent action is not taken. That means we need to reduce, reuse, recycle and dispose of waste responsibly. The Global Waste Management Outlook 2024 for Youth is aptly titled “Beyond an Age of Waste: Turning Rubbish into a Resource.” It reminds us that waste is not simply something to throw away. How we manage it matters for our health, our environment and our future. Remember, “Our Environment Is Our Future and Our Future Is Our Responsibility.” @LilHandsGoGreen 📸@FrosteeLensUg #WasteManagement #ClimateAction #EnvironmentalResponsibility #GoGreenUg

Wasting food adds pressure on forests.  Agricultural expansion drives almost 90% of global forest loss. Making better use of the food already produced can help reduce pressure on forests and biodiversity - another important reason to #StopFoodLossWaste.  More on #WorldFoodDay: stopfoodlosswaste.org/

Climate action isn't just about avoiding a worse future. It's about building a better one. A world where clean energy is affordable, the air is safer to breathe and communities are better protected from extreme weather is within reach. That's what #ClimateAction can deliver: unep.org/topics/climate-acti…

I am honoured to have moderated a very insightful conversation on Uganda’s energy transition. The media engagement brought together climate advocates, media practitioners and energy enthusiasts to discuss decentralised renewable energy and its potential to improve energy access, particularly in underserved communities. The discussion also highlighted the role of the media in helping the public understand energy projects and sharing stories that reflect their impact on the communities they serve. @LilHandsGoGreen @350Africa 📸 @FrosteeLensUg #GoGreenUg #REPowerUganda #REPowerAfrika #EnergyAccess

@UNDPUganda convened key actors across Uganda’s coffee value chain to examine how climate risk intelligence and agricultural insurance can safeguard farmer livelihoods and bolster financial resilience. The discussions highlighted how climate shocks, limited access to finance and credit risks affect coffee farmers and businesses. By addressing these challenges, Uganda can protect farmers’ livelihoods, strengthen its coffee sector and advance its national ambition of producing 20 million bags of coffee annually by 2030. #SDG13
