Parliament has legislated itself into a corner when it comes to promoting marriage. The union that creates children and gives them the best start - a man and a woman, married - is the one no minister dares promote, for fear of being called discriminatory. The silence is thirteen years old and Children are paying for it. Are you happy now?

And yet everybody in my life still sees the importance of marriage & two-parent families.
And so does the evidence.
Children in two-parent households consistently do better than those who are not.
Just because you come from disrupted families does not mean you have to withdraw support for two-parent families.
