#Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness, characterised by damage to the optic nerve connecting the eyes to the brain. Around 80 million people across the globe have glaucoma. Here are the top 5 signs and symptoms to look out for. Discover more with @glaucoma_uk
Text: Glaucoma awareness week. 5 facts about the condition. There are 5 types of glaucoma. It is linked to high eye pressure. The condition develops slowly (remember to get frequent checks!). There is no way to stop it developing but there are ways to prevent severe sight loss. Fight For Sight is currently funding research into Glaucoma risk factors.
