That’s a wrap on my 3-month sabbatical visit at LMU in Björn Ommer’s group. Leaving with so many great memories and new friends. They work hard and play hard, and I really enjoyed the group’s camaraderie ❤️ It’s truly a special lab. Keep an eye out for their upcoming work 💪🤐
Thank you so much Björn for opening your lab to me. Special shoutout to @StefanABaumann for the many dinners and long discussions. I’ll miss it!

Happy to share our latest 3D generative breast model: the *implicit* RBSM, or iRBSM for short. As opposed to its PCA-based predecessor, the iRBSM leverages implicit neural representations, yielding a highly detailed and expressive 3D breast model.

Scanning Electron Microscopes analyze invisible surfaces. However, they’re taking grayscale images. Manual coloring is a cumbersome process and that’s why FAU researchers are using the 3D structure to propagate one colorized view to a whole scene. Impressive! 🎨
