Nina Boyarchenko showed some interesting Fed data suggesting the most SLR constrained dealers absorbed larger customer flows.

.@ProfStefanNagel focused on trouble in the treasury market last March. The usual safety premium of treasuries disappeared as the intermediary sector struggles to absorb negative demand shocks of some large owners.
Andy Atkeson brought up another challenge: bank branches 🏦 and employees are crucial to attract deposit. Should Central Bankers get into this business? What about selling 🍕?
Monika Piazzesi showed us a framework to think about the introduction of Central Bank Digital Currencies. She raised the issue that CBDC don't provide same complementarity with credit lines as deposits.
