I think a lot about why I play music and give myself to this career and creative work. What would it take to build a life around deeply held values rather than the external culture’s motivators of fame and money?

Dalai Lama

@DalaiLama17 Feb 2023

A meaningful life is not about material gain, power or fame; these are only of passing value. True meaning comes from an inner sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be based on a sense of caring and love for others.

Don’t get me wrong, I love making art sustainably! And money is just a neutral form of energy… But the question stands.
