Great episode with @CoWSwap and @VinyasAlex. We're talking more about CoW because, among the many projects in our portfolio, we're also actively building our own solver with BRRRolver. This episode covers how @brcapital_fund got involved with CoW and much more. xitter.cf/brlabsxyz/status/21100…
BR Labs Ep. 12: Solvers and Intents ft. @VinyasAlex: History, Utility, and the Agentic Future Special episode with Alex Vinyas of @CoWSwap on how CoW started as a @gnosis_ spin-off to solve illiquid markets with batch auctions, why @rezosh BR Capital invested in late 2021, and how solvers already make professionals work for the user, the same pattern agents will use next. - (01:30) CoW started as a Gnosis spin-off (like Safe) to match illiquid prediction markets via batch auctions and coincidence of wants. - (04:06) V2 dropped own pools and became a meta-aggregator - solvers compete for the best route instead of the protocol owning liquidity. - (05:25) Rezo came via @TheLAOOfficial (Gnosis investment), then @brcapital_fund invested directly at the end of 2021. - (07:31) In a batch, every order settles at one price. Front-running becomes impossible. Professionals work for the user, not against them. - (08:19) Over $1B in surplus returned to users instead of going to MEV. - (23:41) CoW has been doing intents long before anyone called it the agentic economy. Agents will use it next. Check out the full episode:

It fell to Spain to defeat them once and for all and save Europe. Lepanto, 1571. And how did Europe repay it? By creating the Black Legend. Not a trace of France, England, Germany, the Nordic nations, or the Slavs. It had to be Spain.
The Ottoman Empire was the most formidable enemy European Christendom ever had. Contemporary Europeans called the Ottoman Empire “the present terror of the world.” Its huge armies, its endless resources. Never again would Europe encounter any external enemy like this.

> For users, actionable steps include: > checking undocumented implementation details of your wallet > understanding complex trade-offs > applying advanced slippage limits Or you can just use @CoWSwap where professional solvers bear the risk and cost of getting sandwiched.
Your MEV protection may not work as you expect. We discuss our latest paper on protected order flow sandwich attacks and release an explorer to check if your protected transaction was sandwiched, and how.

dune.com/queries/8886072/129… shows quote deviation for CoW Swap (Mainnet) in September. Median as well as vol weighted mean is positive for all trade size buckets. Most "classic" aggregators eat 100% of positive slippage so you never get more than quoted.

For years, one of DeFi's best-kept secrets sat behind a locked door. 🔒 TWAP orders. Advanced traders swore by them. Everyone else needed a Safe, a custom fallback handler, and an afternoon to spare. Today, the door comes off its hinges. TWAP is open to every wallet. 🧵

We got an important step closer towards unified liquidity between L2s and Ethereum via @etheconomiczone. Here is a @CoWSwap trade settled on L2 while using liquidity from L1. Bridging tokens out and receiving other tokens back all happens atomically! Public testnet soon!

my tldr; on hooks - no, hooks are not a mistake, but yes, there's enormous value in good actors calling out (and excluding) malicious hooks and in more detail - 1) hooks are great because they supercharge composability (which is the absolute coolest blockchain feature) 2) it's high time everyone, not just ux maxis, says it out loud: no user wants to read the code (or ask their llm to read the code). we all want someone to take care of us. so yes routers, apps, social consensus, etc should be preventing malicious outcomes. that's their value add as businesses and that's worth paying fees 3) it's not cool to say "just because some hooks are bad, doesn't mean hooks are bad in general" and brush it off as not a problem. 80% is high enough number to accept it's a problem. just because some people are criminals, it doesn't make all people bad. if 80% of people in the society are criminals, that's not the best society, right? 4) games are playable in environments where the participants allow it, or at least tolerate it. we are all part of this environment - lesson in there

🚨OBEDIENTES. No rompió cortafuegos. No hubo virus. No robaron contraseñas.
