₹3.6 LPA at 22.
Everyone at home said: "Market kharab hai, jo mil raha hai chup-chap kar le."
> Joined a service company with a 2-year bond
> Put into manual support while my batchmates got dev roles
> First appraisal after 14 months: 6% hike (₹1,650/month extra)
> Stopped working past 6:30 PM. Locked in from 9 PM to 12:30 AM on backend + DSA
> Gave 11 interviews over 3 months. Rejected in the first 8
> Cracked a ₹19 LPA product role in month 18
Same tier-3 degree. Same resume gap warnings. Different paycheck.
India: where companies have zero budget to retain you, and 3x budget to hire your replacement.

Always visualize your past (good or bad) as a series of events which proved to be beneficial for your current and future prospects.
Our life is as good or as bad as we imagine it to be. It all depends on what we think of it in our minds.
Mind over matter.

Being shy is not adorable, especially for a man. It’s a lie that everyone has heard at least once in their lives: “I like people who are shy, they’re cute.”
But in reality - nobody cares about what you need if you don’t mention it yourself.
They won’t ask for your opinion if you don’t speak up.
They will always ignore what you say if you don’t position yourself correctly.
You become INVISIBLE.
Your needs are irrelevant. Your words echo.
When you start prioritizing yourself, only then will you be able to walk through the doors that were once closed to you because of the awkwardness that came from childhood. All this time, the world was begging you to express what you think, because your words always mattered.

Major cheat code for life: Every pattern in your life repeats until you learn the lesson. The moment you choose differently, the loop ends and growth begins.
be unreasonably confident in yourself. bet on yourself even when you have nothing to show for it. believe that you’ll figure it out, even when you have no idea how. because the moment you start doubting yourself, you start looking for reasons to give up. you don’t need everyone to believe in you. you don’t need proof that you’re going to make it. you just need to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving until the life you once imagined becomes your reality.

A good mindset to have is that basically everyone is trying to scam you
- Financial world is full of scams
- Real Estate is full of scams
- Almost all dentists and “doctors” are just scammers who want money
- Farmers are scammers who secretly use pesticides, insecticides, etc (Even raw milk farmers secretly freeze the milk or put it in plastic to save money)
- Your employer is scamming you by stealing your youth
- EVEN YOUR KIDS essentially just want your money when you die
So once you understand that everyone is out to get your money or time by scamming you
You realize that:
1) There are very few people who actually care, or are worth listening to
2) You are mostly on your own

Being good at math and solving complex problems used to be the sign of intelligence since generations, but AI is going to replace it in coming years. Emotional intelligence is the only thing that AI won't be able to replace.
So, if you're in 20s, make a girlfriend and in 30s, get married, there is no better way to develop your emotional intelligence than getting into relationship with a woman. She will make sure that you understand things that's mathematically and logically don't make any sense.

Not paying taxes, employees salaries, payment to be vendors.. these are very common in most big companies in india
Polycab, a company worth ₹1,24,484 crores, has been dragged into insolvency.
The stock has been barred from being traded in derivatives (F&O) w.e.f. Dec 30.
It was dragged into an IBC proceeding just because of a ₹2.79 crore due to a vendor.
The news got out today and the company lost ₹1,735 crores' worth of market cap.
It is a good lesson for big companies who ill-treat their vendors.

Yes this is asymmetric game, companies always have leverage whether it is knowing your previous salary with salary slips without telling candidate budget for this role and previous employees ctc or salary slips..
Company are able to do that because employees need jobs more than employer need employees.

I think a terrible economy also distorts your ability to dream big. Big dreams start to include a full fridge, a full tank and maybe an apartment in an affluent area. In the midst of the chaos, I’m begging you to remember to dream bigger. I completely forgot to.

This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
