Must give Blades credit for coming back from two down and with 10 men. But it was a hard watch and in the end not nearly good enough. Two poor sides in error strewn match. #sufc #twitterblades

It was a long time coming, but Blades chief exec Bettis's ageist explanation for ditching Knill doesn't add up. If accurate, however, what does it say about 59-year-old #sufc boss Wilder? buff.ly/5RlWSOQ or listen to podcast buff.ly/HarrfLu #twitterblades

Job well done today after tricky first half. Thought Chong has his best match in a Blades shirt. Underrated player. Wilder straight down the tunnel probably making a point after flak v Fleetwood. #sufc #twitterblades

Shocking. PR and journalism are chalk and cheese. News chiefs, of course, know that but still devalue the profession by bowing to their paymasters whose only concern is never mind the quality feel the width.
I would never send something to Private Eye. Not my style. But I applaud the person responsible here, because it is a real issue for our industry and the @SportSJA would rather hand out awards than recognise the threat posed here to the journalists they’re meant to represent.

Fans wait for the stuttering Blades' return from the international break with bated breath. Unusually, Chris Wilder is struggling to find answers and sounds perplexed. Something is missing at the Lane. Could it be Alan Knill? buff.ly/NeCz5wB #sufc #twitterblades #htafc

I first met Mike when I worked for the Morning Telegraph in Sheffield. Very helpful and friendly to a young journalist finding his way. RIP.
RIP Mike Morgan - a great old-school story-getter and fine journalist, trusted by readers and the managers and players who formed relationships with him. Lovely tribute from his long-standing friend @AlanBiggs1 footballwriters.co.uk/editor…

Never in doubt 😂 At least we are seeing goals now! Chaotic football, best side lost, not much quality on show except for Gale, Donovan and a pass from KP to win the game. Unbeaten Blades, no idea how.

Chris Wilder has, to use one of his well-worn phrases, been thrown under the bus by the unscrupulous American owners of #sufc. The cowboys @Helmy_L2K upstairs are treating everyone like mugs. buff.ly/Cz7Ji3h #twitterblades

The new season is here and Chris Wilder's message to supporters concerned about the lack of transfer activity on the back of losing two big players for #sufc, seems to be: keep calm and carry on. Podcast buff.ly/hawNB2U Post buff.ly/wmdmPQf #twitterblades

Gus Hamer is not only #sufc top player, he's a model pro. 3 seasons at the Lane – constant speculation about a move. Now it looks inevitable. Few Blades will begrudge him a chance to step up. buff.ly/5YtnYwA Podcast buff.ly/U0wtnQP #twitterblades @coventry_city

CLUB STATEMENT The club would like to address rumours circulating on social media regarding unacceptable behaviour following today’s game away to Seaham Red Star. After a brief investigation, we can confirm that Billingham Town supporter Phil Smith has received a lifetime ban from the club and has been reported to the Northern League, The FA and Cleveland Police. Although we are delighted to see Town win, and appreciate that celebrations can occasionally go a little too far, ordering a strawberry daiquiri in a pub, with the lads, on a matchday cannot—and will not—be tolerated. Furthermore, to ensure the club does not encourage similar behaviour in future, lager tops will no longer be served in the clubhouse. The club considers the matter closed. #UTT

The latest version of Chris Wilder is not the same as when he arrived at #sufc in 2016, or in 2023. The third incarnation is different again. Always streetwise, now he's an accomplished diplomat. LISTEN buff.ly/S3ZV9ao READ buff.ly/w4NhQCa #twitterblades
