"La Di Da Di" residuals way crazier than I assumed they'd be
Keisha Lance Bottoms: Slick Rick is a billionaire who lives in the 18th largest home in America. It is complete with a diner, a golf course, and 20 bathrooms. And he wonders how his plumber can afford to drive a Mercedes….
There's a clear contrast on the ballot this year, Georgia. A man who looks out for himself. Or a woman who works for you.

It's illegal to drive a car in France without the exact outfit protesters are wearing in Paris tonight. If a cop pulls you over and you don't have one, that's a €135 fine.
I'm serious. Look at the guy in the yellow vest sprinting past that police car with sparks flying off its wheel.
That vest is sitting in the glovebox of pretty much every one of France's 40 million cars, because back in 2008 Nicolas Sarkozy's government made it mandatory. The idea was simple. If you break down on the highway at night, you throw it on so nobody runs you over. They even put Karl Lagerfeld on billboards to get people to go buy one.
Sarkozy's people were thinking about highway safety. Without meaning to, they'd also solved one of the hardest problems in organizing a protest.
Getting a few hundred thousand strangers to show up dressed alike is a nightmare. Unions spend real money printing shirts, and someone still has to drive the boxes out to every march.
On November 17, 2018, about 300,000 people blocked roads across France over a fuel tax hike, and not one of them had to buy anything. The uniform was already in the car, paid for and advertised by the government a decade earlier. Cops couldn't even hassle you for carrying one, since the law said you had to.
And it told everyone exactly who you were, somebody who drives to work and feels every cent at the pump.
That vest pulled about 3 million people into the movement before it fizzled out in 2020. Within a month of that first Saturday, Macron had killed the fuel tax and put roughly €10 billion on the table, including a €100 a month raise for minimum wage workers.
So you can imagine how the French government felt watching those vests come back out of gloveboxes this week. High school kids have been marching over crumbling schools since mid-September, and today a cost-of-living protest landed right on top of them. The interior minister counted 550,000 people across the country. The prime minister says 1,200 people were arrested and 150 officers got hurt.
That 2008 law is still on the books. Every driver in France still has to keep one within arm's reach, which means the government is still making sure the uniform sits in 40 million cars, ready for next time.

When AJ Dybantsa got a C- in a class his father called his AAU coach and told him he was not to play in the next game under any circumstances
Ace and AJ drove 6 hours from Brockton to Philly, he warmed up like normal, and when the game started he sat on the bench the entire time
AJ cried on the 6 hour car ride back home

You can just say things
So did y’all hear… that the woman that was arrested for “leaving her kids at home by themselves” to go on that cruise; actually left the kids with one of the kid’s dad, the day that she left. 😳 supposedly he was with them all Friday, left Saturday… called the cops & made it seem like he just popped up over there and heard one of the kids crying on the couch. Then after he called the police, he left!! Sad situation fr
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
According to the arrest report the mother told the father she would leave the children with their great-grandmother. He found them home alone on Saturday and called police. The great-grandmother confirmed the mother never dropped them off.

The New Yorkers paid the price tag. Tampa folks are not paying the price tag. Nothing said here is a lie.
For a man always watching other folks pockets it is amazing to me when he goes full on "why wouldn't people spend money on this" 😂😂😂😂 same reason you don't spend money on anything you don't see as a value 😂😂😂 like it is so simple.
40.000 is easy...40,000 paying people...that's the issue

Professional sports leagues have raised ticket prices to the point that the average fan cannot afford to attend, especially as a family. They also compete with an in-home product that is vastly improved. Regionally, salaries aren’t as high in this market as others. Lots of reasons but the bottom line is people do have to choose between entertainment, gas and groceries and that’s just a fact. It’s not
a lack of passion. It’s practicality. I never felt comfortable telling someone else what to do with their money.
Do I think the ALCS should sell out, YES! The stadium, time, and all the other typical excuses can't be used.
However... What the F#%@ are we doing here? It's not that the ticket is $183, it's that 6 rows back are $99. We are turning people away because they know the value of these 2 seats is not 99 more dollars.
My bad Rays fans, I can defend it and I owe you an apology. #RaysUp
