Ran away from the circus. Will no longer work for peanuts. Ex magic-chihuahua wrangler now losing to two children. So. Very. Tired.

Had an absolute panic when I realised Robert in Justin’s House was a bit off. Then realised it was the actual Chris Jarvis. Hurray! Then my son freaked out because he thought Robert had died and it was a new robot and I just hope original Robert is okay!

Nine points. Nine. Europe you really do hate us.

Oh man, we weren’t even that bad this year and we’re getting less than Australia. Gutting.

I covered a skull in Tunnock’s Teacake wrappers and, quite frankly, give me the Turner Prize now.

This is so true. Also my eldest is 5, we went from Suspira at the baby cinema to nothing for nearly three years. It’s a brilliant reintroduction to sitting one place during a movie!

I’m still not used to owning a house and we have a hole in the cupboard under the stairs that I think leads to under the house. Who do we get to look into this? I’ve seen the movies and it won’t be me.

Every bad review I see of this movie makes me think how miserable it must be to be a movie critic and hate joy.

Thing is, it should be open for all but for theatres to survive its cost prohibitive per head. They need investment and sponsorship to bring down ticket prices. Lowering costs might even lessen levels of ‘I paid for this ticket, I want silence / I want to party’ entitlement.
BRING BACK THE MUSIC HALL!!! LET PEOPLE GET PISSED AND SHOUT AND HAVE A LAUGH!!! THE THEATRE IS NOT SACRED!!! £200 IS TOO MUCH MONEY TO SIT IN A TINY VELVET SEAT!!!

Talked to middle school student today who informed me that their school had a mural of famous women. A certain TERFy author face was eventually painted over “because we’d all kinda kick it whenever we went by, til there was a dent in the wall.”

1frickingthousandpercentthis What more mysteries await my bodily future? Ugh.
You know what worries me? The menopause. Before having a child, my internal misogyny made me think women were being dramatic about childbirth. If it was that bad - no-one would do it again! Anyway - the menopause, I have a feeling it's worse than women moaning about being hot.

Just fought the youngest for twenty minutes into getting a vague photo for #WorldBookDay2023 and I’m somehow happier about the eldest just decorating a spoon

When I say happier, I was gutted when he came home, immediately coloured it red and exclaimed LOOK MUMMY! The Day The Crayons Quit!’ And he was right. It’s brilliant.

My awkwardness knows no boundaries. Just managed to hand back a leaflet to a striking teacher on the school run and say ‘oh I don’t need that’ instead of ‘please keep this for someone who doesn’t know about it, save the trees etc etc…’

Here’s hoping she isn’t next year’s teacher because I’ll never be able to talk to her again.
