I have a full case load of clients for somebody ready to start with any experienced Neuro psychologists willing to take on independent FND work! We can’t get anyone here in the North East … come on guys there must be someone 🙏 we are stuck !
Got gifted this unbelievable piece of art by one of our clients who’s upper limb function was significantly impacted by GBS - now he’s a re known finger painting artist, he said for our office… it’s too fab so it’s pride of place in our main clinic 💙
Call me crazy but… I kind of expect if someone is being assessed for a wheelchair then the therapist would actually assess the person’s sitting balance and not just assume what provision is required…🤔?
1/More&more we are being asked to work on deferred payment..we never want to compromise client care but practices have equipment to run&wage bills to pay…small businesses put personal assets into developing high quality services for our users because we love our job&our clients.
Something amazing happened today…. One of our clients with a diagnosis of FND walked… it’s been a long time coming … 6 years in fact…
Always knew she would … 😊patience, positivity & hope is absolutely the key in management of this condition…
Totally not a physio related just a very proud Mum status…my boy at the front & his team mates at Twickenham doing guard of honour yesterday …everyone at Billingham rugby club is so proud of you all .. little legends🏉
If one more NHS therapist tells a client they can’t work with them because they are seeking private therapy I might spontaneously combust 😂🙈 would it be difficult for NHS managers to circulate the actual guidance to staff?!
Absolutely loving hearing that our intense rehab packages are facilitating earlier hospital discharge… 🙌

When a clinician writes:
"didn't engage with physio/non compliant" for people with learning disabilities
what they mean is:
"didn't know how to engage the person, so gave up"
Heard this a few times now… physios are always the last to respond to emails 🤔🙈 etc …. Mainly because we are in the clinic treating clients back to back all day/everyday - we will always respond but more than likely it will be on an evening or super early in the morning 😃

My gorgeous nephew … so proud …. def not stopping a die hard Sunderland fan go back though !
Do any of my local colleagues know anyone who can help a young gentleman with epilepsy in the Teesside area with some PIP forms and also anywhere to access support locally that would be suitable for a young person🙏
Amazing time at the Neuro Convention so much info,innovation & always lovely to see familiar faces.. what a show #Naidex.
@amanda_OTrehab #permobil #ectron #RMS great to catch up
Is it usual to attend a private neurology assessment & for the neurologist not to even conduct an objective assessment .. like not even leave the desk!
