I have been trained by parents, family, teachers, books, movies, etc. to mimic the output of past human intelligence and knowledge.

A few months ago I was writing SKILLS to help models do stuff. I just wrote a SKILL so the models can explain to me what they do.
They grow up so fast.
If you approached software engineering as a list of tasks of what to do, you should be worried. If you approached it as an empty canvas and were deciding what to paint, you will be fine.
If software dies because models code under the hood everything and anything we need I would be fine with it, it was an amazing life long hobby and profession, looking forward to whatever comes next!

Get compute or you cannot compete, that is the truth. Most MOAT in software is already gone, not good nor bad. Just the new reality
Jev will probably go down in history as the most thoroughly spanked startup ever — a brutal reminder of how few ways are are to create a competitive moat in software these days.
(Hint: if you don’t have proprietary data that clearly distinguishes your offering then watch out.)
1. Launch a service that popularises a novel and valuable way to use LLMs
2. Watch literally everyone clone it almost instantly, in many cases beating it
Some laughing at those speaking with AI for hours will give you a list of scientists, historical figures or celebrities they want to have dinner with.
We have many human ideas, values, quotes and knowledge in these systems. Of course I'll use many hours speaking with it.
