After Magistrate Winnie Nankya Jatiko said she didn’t have 20 minutes to allow the lawyers file bail documents because she was going to pick her child from school, we thought if we filed the documents we would obtain the production warrant for @AloikinOpoloje to appear earlier than the 16 days she remanded her for. She has also refused to entertain this. The reason this time that she mumbles informally is that we “attacked her on twitter” for sending her on remand. Judicial officers and thinking they do us a favor to just do their damn job that is tax payers pay them for!! #FreePraiseAloikin

UPDATE: Masaka High Court has granted bail to four civilian bodyguards to NUP president @HEBobiwine. They include; Achilleo Kivumbi, Gaddafi Mugumya, Grace Wakabi and Eddie Ssebufu, alias Eddie Mutwe. The four were granted cash bail of Shs5 million each, with their sureties required to provide non-cash security of Shs50 million. However, Ssebufu and Kivumbi will remain in custody as they face separate charges in the military drill case at Kawempe Magistrate Court. Wakabi and Mugumya are expected to be released upon fulfilling the bail conditions. The four are accused of robbery stemming from an incident on May 18, 2024, in Manja Village, Lwengo District, during the funeral of businessman Pascal Ssekasamba.
