There is ability in disability! 💪❤️
Never deny a child with a disability the opportunity to showcase their talents, skills, and potential. Every child deserves a chance to shine, contribute, and achieve greatness. Remember, we all have limitations in one way or another; what matters is how we embrace our unique abilities.
Let us replace stigma with acceptance, discrimination with inclusion, and limitations with opportunities.
Every child matters. Every ability counts. Every child deserves a chance to shine! 🌟

As we commemorate the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, the palliative care fraternity remembers and honors the life of Lt. Dr. Anne Merriman who was the mother of palliative care across Uganda and in Africa. She left an endearing legacy which we follow daily to provide "Palliative Care for All".
May her soul continue to rest in Peace.

Husbands, if your wife has these qualities, value her because she is a virtuous woman
1. She prays for your progress.
Value a wife who genuinely prays for your success, wisdom, protection, and growth. Her prayers show that she desires to see you become the best version of yourself.
2. She is not jobless and supports the family financially.
Appreciate a wife who contributes to the family’s financial wellbeing. Whether through employment, business, or other productive work, her contribution strengthens the household.
3. She is submissive and respectful to you, her husband.
Cherish a wife who treats you with respect and supports the marriage partnership. True submission should be expressed through mutual love, dignity, understanding, and respect—not fear or oppression.
4. She has never cheated on you as her husband.
Treasure her faithfulness. Loyalty builds trust, emotional security, and a strong foundation for a lasting marriage.
5. She does not compare you with other rich men.
Value a wife who appreciates you for who you are rather than measuring your worth against another man’s wealth. Such contentment protects the marriage from unnecessary pressure and resentment.
6. She maintains intimacy with you even when she is tired.
Appreciate a wife who makes effort to nurture marital intimacy. At the same time, intimacy should always be mutual, loving, consensual, and considerate of each partner’s wellbeing.
7. She does not respond disrespectfully when you correct her.
Value a wife who can receive correction with humility and engage in disagreement respectfully. Equally, a husband should be willing to receive correction from his wife—because a healthy marriage is built on two adults who teach, correct, forgive, and grow together.
A virtuous wife should never be taken for granted. And a virtuous husband should also never take his wife for granted. Marriage flourishes when both partners continually choose love, faithfulness, respect, sacrifice, and forgiveness. ❤️🙏

Palliative care improves the quality of life for older adults with serious, chronic, or life-limiting illnesses by focusing on comfort, symptom relief, and holistic support.
As the global population ages, older adults frequently face complex medical issues, multiple chronic conditions, frailty, and cognitive decline. Palliative care addresses these intricate challenges alongside standard medical treatment

There is an electric kamunye in Kampala.
I hope many many more will fill our roads.
Let me also thank @MEMD_Uganda for the electric vehicle charging facility at Amber House.
This facility allows this kamunye to move from zero charge to 100% charge in 55 minutes.

Today, Oct 1, is the International Day for Older Persons. We wish everyone who is 60 years and above in our country great success as we commemorate this day.
Today's theme in Uganda is Ageing with Dignity: strengthening care and support systems. This theme resonates with our area of specialty, which is #PalliativeCare. This service is crucial for everyone experiencing health-related suffering and for programming and advocacy for older persons; the service is even more needed.
Improving the quality of life for older persons with chronic and life-limiting illnesses is essential. The service addresses the pain and suffering caused by these illnesses. ehospice.com/africa_posts/he…

Congratulations to His Royal Highness King Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma Nyabongo I and Her Royal Highness Queen Rebecca Amoding Rukidi.
There is something powerful about a people who can honour their heritage while allowing culture to meet a changing world with confidence. Tooro reminds us that tradition need not fear progress, and identity need not build walls between communities.
May the Crown serve its people, preserve what must endure and build what the next generation will require.
We are learning lessons here.
