Three hours and thirty-plus minutes of absolute torture! The first half dragged so badly that I was struggling to stay awake. From casting to CGI, the music to the background score, it’s a spectacular failure. Ranbir and Sai Pallavi seemed stuck with the same expression throughout the film. Yash, meanwhile, seemed to ensure that he got the best screen presence, forcing everyone else to take a backseat. The Kumbhakarna introduction, the Colosseum and spectators during the Ravana–Vidyutjiva fight, and the giant demons Subahu, Tataka, Khara, and Dushana, none of these looked remotely like something you would expect from a ₹4,000 crore movie. And then there’s the scene where Bharata comes to meet Lord Ram in the forest, and Ram notices his father’s ashes. Ranbir’s expression and acting in that moment?
