Ten years ago, the @etsu Marching Bucs didn’t even exist. Now they’re one of the biggest & best in the nation. Congratulations to this group of hardworking students, faculty, and staff, and thank you to all of the band families who have supported them along the way!

This is Norma. Her family just got a new rug. It even came with a cool minimalist doggy bed. 12/10

As @AASL Pres.-Elect Becky Calzada says about her school library: "We aren't just about kids checking out books." They provide technology, info literacy, & even just a space to work.

Take action! Please ask Governor Lee to veto HB 2666/ SB 2247 and affirm local control for Tennessee’s schools. Don't let politicians take over our school libraries. saveschoollibrarians.org/hb2… via @EveryLibrary

Every book is not for every reader. That doesn’t mean we have to ban it or burn it.

We continue to fight for every student's right to read and against #censorship. WE NEED YOUR HELP. This bill takes any book off the shelf for 30 days after a complaint and criminalizes educators. Please contact these senators and tell them to vote NO on #SB1944 a.s.a.p.

There actually is some good news to share! The state coordinator of school libraries position is included in the governor's budget! Huge thanks to Representative Whitson, Senator Lundberg, and @GovBillLee for reinstating this position. @lundbergjon @aasl @ALALibrary

Teachers, I'm done with draft 1 of I Survived 22 & want to share chapters 1-2 with students. I'll choose two classes/schools for 30-minute zooms. Eager to share, get feedback, and discuss writing with your young critics! Best for grades 3-8. RT to enter. I will notify by 2/14.
