Today we say a final goodbye to an amazing human & Learning Disabilities Nurse.
I was privileged to work with/for Steve for over 12 years (inc being a student nurse on placement with him). Steve had a huge skill at seeing the best & potential in everyone.
I nominated Steve for The Senior Managers Award in 2018 as part of that years National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards…he didn’t believe it was real so didn’t go to the ceremony…he won…but believed it when then award arrived at home!!!
Whilst I can’t be there today to say my final goodbye, I will be reflecting today on the impact you have had on me personally & professionally. I will honour your memory & continue to strive for the best.
