I FINALLY HIT 1 MILLION PLAYS ON @PlayAstrocade!!! 🎉😭 It took me three months—and now seeing “1M” displayed on my profile honestly feels like a dream. The journey to 1M has been so much fun. Not just creating and publishing games, but being part of everything Astrocade has built around its creators: Astro Academy, Office Hours, AMAs, Discord events, and of course, the game jams! Every jam has pushed the limits of my creativity and challenged me to build something better than I thought I could. These past three months have made me realize just how much I truly love game development. A huge thank-you to the entire Astrocade team for creating such a wonderful platform and community. And thank you to Alex, Toxic, @Pikaa__Pi , Sturmjager, SkulHunter, @Ezstudiozz , Nazmul, and so many others who make the Discord community such a genuinely fun place to be. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community. 1,000,000 plays… What an unforgettable milestone. 💙⭐ And this is only the beginning!!! #Astrocade #GameDev #VibeCoding

👀 Sneak peek at my next game in @PlayAstrocade , Heroes Unleashed! All character animations were created with GPT-6 Astra using Blender MCP. Before Astra, I simply couldn’t get AI to pull off 3D animation like this. This feels like a whole new level of breakthrough. 🔥 #GameDev #VibeCoding #AI #Astrocade #GPT6 #Astra

I was a huge @MStrikeOfficial fan until its English servers shut down. A few weeks ago, nostalgia hit. I tried the Japanese version, struggled with the language barrier, and thought… why not make my own? 😅 Introducing Ricochet Heroes, an original anime hero-collecting RPG inspired by the sling-and-ricochet combat I loved! 🎯 Sling heroes and create massive bounce combos ⚡ Trigger unique skills from 🌟 Collect 120 heroes across 6 rarities 🌍 Battle through 5 worlds and 50 stages 🎰 Summon and build your ultimate team Built entirely on @playastrocade—and my attempt at creating the first full gacha-style game on Astrocade! 🔗 Play link in the first reply 👇 #Astrocade #GameDev #IndieGame #AIGameDev #GachaGame

Slash a Brainrot has become incredibly successful on @PlayAstrocade, so here’s what I think made the difference. On Astrocade, a game is generally considered to have strong engagement when it reaches around: • 1:20 median playtime • 3:00 P75 playtime Slash a Brainrot is currently reaching: 🔥 2:10 median 🔥 5:10 P75 And it’s gaining a crazy number of plays every day! I think one of the biggest reasons is that I didn’t try to build everything using the same method. The game became a hybrid of procedural models, custom-coded animation and carefully selected free 3D assets. ⚔️ The sword-slashing animation I originally tried using a character GLB that already included animations, but it made character customization difficult—and honestly, the animation itself wasn’t satisfying. So I built the character procedurally with Codex and created the sword-slashing animation through code. The first version was extremely awkward 😂 But GPT-5.6 Sol in Ultra mode researched real sword movements and helped implement a slash animation that finally felt powerful and satisfying. Because the character remained procedural, adding customization was easy. It still didn’t look enough like a Roblox character, though—until I found free Roblox-style hairstyle GLBs and attached them to the procedural character. That created the perfect hybrid: a customizable procedural character with code-controlled animations, but with the recognizable visual identity of a polished Roblox-style avatar. 🧠 The Brainrot enemies The game currently includes 20 famous Brainrot characters, all created using free 3D models I found online. Players already recognize and love these characters, so defeating each one feels like discovering the next meme rather than fighting another generic enemy. 🗡️ The swords and accessories The character body is procedural, but the swords, wings and major accessories use curated free 3D assets. That made equipment upgrades look genuinely exciting while still allowing everything to attach modularly to the customizable character. 🐾 The pets Pets use a gacha-style summon system. Most are procedural, while the rarest tiers use higher-quality free 3D models to make the best pulls feel truly special. Underneath all of this is a simple but addictive loop: Train → gain power → defeat Brainrots → earn rewards → unlock swords and pets → become stronger The biggest lesson I learned from this game: Procedural models provide flexibility. Curated assets provide visual quality and recognition. Great game feel connects everything together. You don’t have to choose between procedural creation and imported assets. Use each one where it works best. That hybrid approach is what brought Slash a Brainrot to life. ⚔️🧠 #Astrocade #VibeCoding #GameDev #ThreeJS

“Never Seen It Before” made me wonder: what if water itself was the game? 🌊 Meet TIDEPOOL—a hyper-realistic water playground built with @threejs + R3F on @PlayAstrocade for the Never Seen It jam. Touch water, make ripples, drop objects and watch the water, light and fish react in real time. Game, toy or simulation? 👀 Link in the first reply 👇 #Astrocade #GameDev #ThreeJS

🏆 Penguin Reunion: Portal Pusher just won "Best Complete Game" in @PlayAstrocade First-Ever Complete the Scene Remix Mini Jam! I created 12 handcrafted portal puzzles where you move the portals themselves, transforming them between portal ↔ box ↔ portal to create entirely new solutions. So far, the furthest anyone has reached is Stage 6 of 12. 👀 Think you can beat them all? 🐧🧩 🎮 Link in the first reply! #gamedev #indiedev #PuzzleGame #PlayAstrocade #VibeCoding xitter.cf/VibeCreAI/status/20758…
I built a full 12-stage Portal-inspired puzzle game for the remix-only jam hosted by @PlayAstrocade! 🌀 I absolutely love this jam format. Everyone starts from the exact same base game, so talent, creativity, and execution are what truly shine. ❤️ Fair warning... it's really difficult. 😅 I honestly don't think anyone can beat all 12 stages. Think you can prove me wrong? 👀 🎮 Game link is in the first comment! #Astrocade #gamedev #VibeCoding

I built a full stage editor inside @PlayAstrocade for my newest game, Circle Traffic 🚗⭕️ Why? Because I wanted all 100 stages to be manually hand-designed. YES. ALL 100. Not AI procedurally generated. Not random. Not auto-filled. Every stage has its own traffic setup, timing gap, car queue, and difficulty curve. I’m honestly really proud of this one. My goal was simple: Make a game players understand instantly… but keep playing because they keep thinking: “Ok, just one more stage.” Can Circle Traffic be a hit? 🚗⭕️ Play it from the link in the comments and let me know what you think! 👇 #Astrocade #GameDev #IndieGameDev #AIgamedev #VibeCoding

PHANTOM BALL won 4th place Judges Pick in the You Vs Your Ghost jam hosted by @PlayAstrocade!!! 👻⚽ YAYYYY!! I’m so happy!!! This game was honestly one of the hardest Astrocade games I’ve built so far. The ball physics in @threejs , the half-pipe tracks, the ghost replay, the dash timing, the mobile performance… everything was a challenge. But I’m really proud of how it turned out. Every track was hand-crafted in Astrocade Editor mode, and the game now has 4 unique worlds with 4 different tracks. The core idea is simple: Roll through the track. Master the curves. Dash at the right moment. Then race your own ghost and beat your previous run. Now I want to challenge everyone: Can you beat my best time? 👀 136.983 sec and current 1st place!
