I agree and fell much the same; the one thing I can point to that helped me tremendously was getting connected to @VeteranSec where amazing people, that have experienced a step-by-step process, are paying it forward and supporting others.

Tried to pull off my sweater and the undershirt came off with it in front of god and everyone. Standing there, in public, arms stretched upwards like a rollercoaster rider, head hidden in the knot of clothes, I realize I can no longer be embarrassed. I’ve peaked. I fear nothing.
