Einstein had finally discovered what was fundamental about America: it can be swept by waves of what may seem…to be dangerous political passions but are, instead, passing sentiments that are absorbed by its democracy and righted by its Constitutional gyroscope… “God’s own country (the U.S.) becomes stranger and stranger,” he wrote his son “but somehow they manage to return to normality. … everything goes out of fashion very quickly”. ——- From Walter Isaacson’s Einstein: His Life and Universe
To restore basketball to the game it’s supposed to be: a team should be granted max 2 points for every shot after a set max number of 3’s made per period.

First TikTok Withdrawal Experience: (bear with me, might be a painful read)
Just finished a 9-hour shift in the freezing cold. My fingers are stiff, my breath visible in the air as I trudge to my car. I slide into the driver’s seat, turn the key, and wait for the faint hum of the engine to chase the frost from the windows. The usual ritual begins: grab my phone, open TikTok, and let the mind-numbing scroll begin… but then—BOOM.
No TikTok.
No endless stream of videos to drown out the silence. No algorithm to feed me distractions perfectly curated to my frayed and frozen brain. The screen stares back at me, barren and lifeless, a mirror of my current state.
I sit there, frozen in more ways than one. Every life decision that led me to this exact moment replays in my mind, every second spent on that app suddenly feeling heavy, like chains pulling me down. An empty pit forms in my stomach, and the hairs on the back of my neck rise like soldiers at attention. Is this… longing? Grief? Or simply the absence of noise?
What now? Where do I go? Who am I without the endless scroll? The silence feels deafening. I stare out the frosted windshield, the faint plume of exhaust curling into the night, and wonder: Have I ever truly been alone with my thoughts?
Minutes tick by—or do they Tok?—until finally, I pull away, leaving something behind in that parking lot. It isn’t just TikTok. It’s the comfort of autopilot, the illusion of being plugged into something bigger. And now I wonder,
Does the clock continue to Tok, or is this the moment it stops
I’m just going to say this and not care who I offend: the MacBook touch bar is dope. And Apple not continuing them is a mistake. #touchbar♥️unite. There, I said it.

The unexpected retirement of Virginia’s Tony Bennett has stunned college basketball fans within and beyond UVA. And it speaks to the volume of his impact.
He’s just a good guy.
Here are few of my personal reflections after a lifelong following:

#LGM forget re-signing Alonso for now, as much as the Mets have been winning, Cohen needs to hire a Champagne Manager
