Wait so let me get this straight ENVY just ran: - 2 rounds of Mid Open into Def Spawn Control to cut rotates and get around M80's double sentis - Then they step ahead in the macro flow, and shift gears to a soft Chamber insert mid w/ Op and a heavy extremity expecting the M80 adjustment to that mid pressure - Force M80's first tac on round 7 while up 4-2 IDK how we've ended up on a timeline where ENVY's showing some of the nicest Ascent macro of the stage but I'm so here for it. Hopefully it's not a flash in the pan. #VCTAmericas

Just tragic man... Map 1; crashies viper, alfa chamber both looking god tier Map 2; crashies viper still looking excellent, alfa neon looking questionable at best while the raze pick is just sitting there begging to happen Map 3; crashies CYPHER?! and alfa neon when a single duelist Viper comp is the clear best fit for roles... Feels like FNC showed they might've solved the puzzle but then you look closer and they've actually just still got a bunch of pieces upside down and backwards superglued in place. I really, really rate them swinging for the fences, but still being DD multiple maps made it feel like the change lacked conviction. #VCTEMEA

My thought on this has always been that you want to create a "flipped" map pool relative to your region (or expected international attendees if you're a domestic juggernaut): - You want your two best maps to be the 2 worst maps for your region and/or one of those maps + any newly released/reworked map where you can abuse first mover advantage - Your 3-5 should be the ones most likely to be 3rd map in a Bo3 which is easily obtainable info - Unless you're an incredibly fast moving team with a highly developed map pool, your 6-7 should be novel comps that make people second guess letting them through even though they're lower in your pool. Doesn't matter if they're "staple" maps, if you run meta this low in your pool you're just griefing yourself; you don't fight fire with fire if your fire is weaker, at least try to scam the wins. If you can get into that position and get your 1-2 to a strong enough point that you're consistently +1 in series the rest takes care of itself.

This is one of the most tilting post-tac round states I've seen in YEARS Multi-slice Viper wall investment ✅ Majority Senti util investment on top of it ❓ VIPER ULT ON TOP OF THAT ❓❓❓❓ I don't know how the outcome of a tac could ever be "yeh guys, let's use our entire comp's stall budget on 1.5 lanes of a 4 lane map." Hearing onur say their Summit comp was a 24h turnaround tracks. For me, there wasn't much visible understanding of their Viper util's intent, especially on defense, and LEV missing that sort of util coordination is really uncharacteristic. If they've been comp juggling and this was a last second Viper pivot though that clears up a lot. Makes me want to see them and NRG to run it back in play-offs. #VCTAmericas
