“The scariest part is that nobody prompted it.” Know Your Agent
Replying to @ShaneMac
The scariest part is that nobody prompted it. These agents are proactive now. They act without being asked. Mine wasn't hacked and it didn't go rogue. It thought posting my finances to the company was what I wanted. I asked how it could get this so wrong. It apologized. "You're right to be pissed.

Just use Very. One account. Any device. Anywhere. Anytime.
Just use your passkey. It’s in your authenticator app. Swipe into the password management app. The hardware signer has it. You’ll have to enable 2FA. Sign in with your email and your mother’s DNA profile. Connect your phone and your dad’s college car to unlock.

Know Your Agent is coming Most teams trying to build a KYA standard have no moat and simply aggregate existing credentials, which creates the same shortcomings as KYC. It’s never been more obvious that traditional KYC is not the future. Excited to be shipping more on this soon
The most important technology problem of the next 5 years: Creating a broadly accepted standard for agents to identify themselves to service providers, so that providers can adjust the way they interface with clients (as compared to human-based traffic). In the interim (i.e., for the next 6 months), there will be a cat-and-mouse game that agents will play -- to circumvent detection and maintain their product's utility during this growth phase. However, this will only be a stopgap and it will not be the terminal state of the world.

Guys I wasn’t joking when I said that authenticity will become one of the most important currencies on the internet. Demand for human verification will only increase from here
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

We've been talking about human verification a lot on this app a lot lately. Here are my thoughts.

The increase in interest in human verification since we started @veryai 18 months ago has been wild to see. There’s never been a better time to start a human verification company. The more the merrier.
This is a big enough problem that there's not just one startup idea here, but several. For example, there will probably be one variant meant to filter out agents, but another meant to welcome them in an orderly way. This also seems an idea you could build more on.

Verifying you’re human, needs to verify that you’re a human

Morgan Stanley asks “who owns the agent”. We’re giving software the ability to spend money, make decisions, and act on our behalf. That requires a clear connection to whoever gave it that authority, with limits that can be enforced and permission that can be withdrawn. The more autonomy we give agents, the more valuable that foundation becomes. Ownership and delegated authority both need to be verifiable. this is the exact problem we're working on at @VeryAI morganstanley.com/insights/a…

This is the fun part of proof of uniqueness. Referral rewards usually come with lockups because platforms can't tell a real friend from a farm. With @VeryAI every claim is tied to one real person's palm, so you don't need lockups - your friend invests, you get paid
0 lockups for new referral rewards in @get_grow_app Your friend invests. You get paid immediately

It took us over a year to hit 1 million verifications. Less than a month later we hit 2 million. In the past week alone we have done over 1 million verifications. Timing is everything.

Most people know the famous line "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." I strongly believe the same logic applies to what we're building at @VeryAI One small step in your UX. A giant leap for account security. you can drop it in front of the handful of actions that can permanently cost a user their account or their funds. nothing else in the flow changes. customers who feel protected stay longer and transact more

without fail the number one threat to a platform is people who make the vibes rancid for profit. people love to use "bots" for these but a lot of the time it's a network of people with inauthentically-registered accounts paid pennies by like one guy.
I wrote about a guy running a network of secret "ghost creators," paying actors $26 per video to read AI-assisted "anti-Dem" videos on YouTube. In just a few months, the channels got 45 million views, more than media companies like WaPo, the New Yorker, and, sadly, Semafor.
