Sadly, this is a true story. My mother abused all of her kids, but she really abused me. I start with the abuse, but just before she died, we forgave each other. Yeah, I was guilty myself... I never hurt her, but the hate in my heart slowly melted. youtube.com/watch?v=AP7KZu9v…

I'm going to 'sign off,' but keep working on my latest novel, "Different Hands on the Elephant - Different People See Different Truths." Oddly enough, there are no elephants in the story. Hmmmm Good night!

It's a scant 99 in the upper ten-mile strip of Florida. We go into Valdosta, Georgia, several times a week, and I love the wooded area that reminds me of my home state of Michigan. Be safe, be happy, and SMILE!!!

A mystery ends when the answer is revealed. A myth ends when the reader realizes the answer was never the point. The point was the journey and the person who took it. - My philosophy when writing. #Writers

For my #author and #writer friends: When you finally find yourself arguing over one line of dialogue, the story has probably already found its voice. As we used to say a long, long, LONG time ago... ya gotta keep on keepin' on. Good night!

For all the authors out there: A life isn't measured by the stories we finish. It's measured by the stories we're grateful we were allowed to tell.

From my current story, "Hands on the Elephant:" Thomas says, "History isn't made of events." Linda asks, "What's it made of?" Thomas smiles. "People deciding what deserves to survive."

A pair of lines from my current novel, "Hands on the Elephant." This story was slow to start rolling, but now, the chocks have been removed & its ready to rock. Every great mystery asks, "What happened?" The best mysteries eventually ask, "Who can be trusted with the answer?"

This story was inspired by my then 7-year-old grandson, who told me he was a space alien sent to Earth to observe us. It is also a story of love between a grandfather & a little boy with a vivid imagination. tinyurl.com/y22z8xus

I'm posting links to all of my 32+ audiobooks. This story still gets to me. I was one of the 1st paramedics in 1972. This man was caught in a wrecked car after a bad accident & we couldn't him out. You are the medic. What do you say to a man who is dying? tinyurl.com/2cfssfde

This was my very first attempt to do an audiobook. Looking back at how excited I was as each chapter came back to me, I still get the excitement running through me as I listen to: Things My Father Taught Me. I still listen to it & whisper "Thanks, Dad!" tinyurl.com/3ncs8yhs

Wishing all a Happy New Year. We are leaving 2025 with gratitude for what held us together and healing for what hurt. Here’s to 2026: softer hearts, braver steps, and room to grow into who we’re becoming. Verwayne

What if help isn’t neutral? In War of the Empaths, a world learns that systems meant to save us also decide who matters. As Order tightens control a quieter force emerges,1 that doesn’t demand obedience, only absence. Survival becomes choice& choice has consequences. Coming soon!

In War of the Empaths, a hidden system called Order optimizes humanity by rewarding obedience & erasing disruption. A new force, the Quiet, emerges, choice becomes dangerous & disappearance becomes tempting. Humanity must decide what it’s willing to lose.
