Feeling hotter than usual? 🥵
So is our planet!
Climate change is turning up the heat! We are seeing the effects everywhere; from intense wildfires to rising sea levels, to shrinking ice caps and extreme heatwaves, global warming is impacting all of us.
The last decade was the hottest on record, and the planet’s temperature continues to climb. This isn’t just about warmer summers; but also about the #failinghealth of our planet. On this #WorldEnvironmentDay, let’s take a vow to cool things down.
Bike to work, recycle more, #saveenergy, & #reducewaste. Small steps can make a big difference. Science tells us we can make a difference –so let’s act on it! 🌱 Chill out for a better future!

When #organicwaste matches with #soil, it’s a composting love story ♥️. Instead of letting our #kitchenwaste rot away in vain, we can transform it into rich, nutrient-filled soil.
Composting reduces the amount of #waste in #landfills; cuts down on #methaneemissions, which are more potent than CO2; enhances #soilhealth, promotes better plant growth, and decreases the need for #chemicalfertilizers. These are just a few of its many benefits.
By composting you also support #landrestoration, improve #soilhealth, and enable #droughtresilience.
Join the #CompostCrew and give every leftover from your kitchen a second chance.

Melting #icebergs, starving polar bears, choking water bodies- environmental tragedies that have unfortunately almost become passé. You might have seen these images, felt really bad & moved on without making a single ounce of change in your lifestyles that have triggered this.
Most of us may never have seen an #iceberg but we now know that on the poles, these precious and ancient freshwater reserves are melting faster than they have ever before.
On this #WorldEnvironmentDay let us resolve to be a #niceberg and help turn down the heat.
When was the last time you saw an earthworm? Did you know these tiny wriggling engineers of the soil are disappearing? And do you know what would happen if they did? The land that grows the food on which we subsist, would become fully susceptible to
With the beginning of the #GreenRevolution in India in the 60s, came extensive chemical inputs to increase yields. It was a noble beginning—feeding a fast growing population was urgent, however, this chemical inputs led to a #SoilEmergency.
A handful of soil contains billions of bacteria and fungi plus other organisms, making soil a major reservoir of life on Earth, much more than the human population! Let us mark #WED2024, by a resolution to improve #soilhealth! It’s time to care about the #soil beneath our feet.
Every day is #worldenvironmentday at Vertiver.
Today we join @unitednations @unep to mark #wed24 themes of #landrestoration combatting #desertification and #droughtresilience, areas we will continue to contribute our collective skills and commitment to.
Desertification is an alarming trend that is leading to conversion of usable land to degraded arid land. This has many causes which include urban expansion, chemical intensive agri practices, over extraction of water etc. We can do a lot to combat desertification.
A key step is land restoration which includes planting trees, increasing green cover managing water bodies etc. Let us resolve to change some habits to save our #pollinators #biodiversity #water #energy #land #trees and all the other invaluable gifts from the #environment.

#Teamvertiver visited #TamilNadu and discovered the remarkable capabilities of Milia dubia, locally known as “Malai Vembu”. These fast-growing #trees are transforming the landscape of #agroforestry, offering not just shade but also a #viabletimber source within just 10-15 years.
Our team’s observations reveal how #localfarmers are seamlessly integrating Milia Dubia into their #agriculturalpractices. This method extends beyond #traditionalfarming; it's a #sustainableinvestment for the #future.
