What an incredible honour for the #HighSeasTreaty to win the @EarthshotPrize! It has truly been a collective effort and a recognition of all the hard work by so many people over so many years. Congratulations to everyone that has been involved!
The High Seas Treaty led by @HighSeasAllianc has won The Earthshot Prize to Revive Our Oceans for its historic work to protect over 60% of our oceans.
Thanks to their work, the world is coming together to protect and secure the future of our oceans.

Loooooooooooooooooooong day (exciting though!).
Lost count of the number of interviews talking about the importance of the #HighSeasTreaty. Now I can't wait for the text to arrive so we can see what the scale of the challenge ahead is to #ProtecttheOceans.
Lat night we made history! It has been such a rollercoaster, but after 20 years in the making we finally have a Treaty to protect our global oceans. This is HUGE! #ProtectTheOceans #BBNJ #HighSeasAlliace

What a historic day – for our oceans & the protection they so urgently need in times of climate crisis & species extinction! After long, tough & complex negotiations, it's finally done: #GlobalOceanTreaty is a done deal. I couldn't feel more happy and humbled. #BBNJ @Greenpeace

Securing a strong Global Ocean Treaty this week is key to deliver the 30x30 target. The planet and the billions of people who rely on healthy oceans can’t afford further delays #ProtectTheOceans #IGC5 #BBNJ
Dear #IGC5 Delegates, you have just 3 days left to enact meaningful change.
You have 3 days to put us on a path to protecting the oceans and the life that depends on them.
You have the power. Use it.

Dear Leaders, you have just 5 days to secure a Strong Global Ocean Treaty.
Please broker the deal, not break it.
Show leadership, find compromises, and break the deadlock. More delay means more destruction!

At #BBNJ IGC5.bis, talks to adopt a #HighSeasTreaty are stalling. A sense of urgency needs to be brought into the room. Technical exchanges over the past decade have teed up the compromises. What’s needed is political will.

BREAKING: World leaders are on the brink of failing our oceans. Talks at the UN look set to end in deadlock because of greed.
Govts are fighting over hypothetical future profits they could make from the ocean over protecting it.
