Two days ago, a bug was discovered on our fx-pundiai swap contract.
Attackers exploited our uninitialized ERC1967Proxy contracts (OZ common proxy standard) to set malicious implementations & spoofing. According to @VennBuild this newly discovered critical backdoor affects thousands of smart contracts.
This bug unfortunately allowed the attacker to mint 1M $PUNDIAI tokens on 12 July UTC +8. We have responded swiftly, including recovering > 70% (710,193 PUNDIAI) of the attacker minted PUNDIAI. Also, we managed to lock and recover ~$275k worth of attacker assets. Unfortunately, the attacker managed to get away with ~$260k worth of assets as it was already swapped from PUNDIAI into ETH/USDT/BNB.
We thank public info by @ramonrecuero & @deeberiroz on ERC1967Proxy, and assistance from @DYOR_WAGMI of @axelar, @ChefMaroon of @PancakeSwap. Appreciation to CEXes for halting deposits on weekend and partner validators for performing voting upgrade to freeze funds. Same attacker of @KintoXYZ
We look forward resuming PUNDIAI actitives over the next few days, including deposit and witdrawal on CEX. This bug affected PUNDIAI it did NOT affect PUNDIX token.

Yesterday an external white-hat trio—@deeberiroz, @VennBuild, and @davidberiro—flagged a security risk in our live staking contract. With their alert and instant support from @SlowMist_Team we isolated the contract, migrated funds, and locked down the vector within minutes.

Earlier this week, a potential vulnerability in Orderly’s cross-chain manager contract on BNB chain was identified.
In response, our BNB vault for deposits and withdrawals was immediately paused, contracts were migrated and deposits/withdrawals resumed within 2 hours.
✅ No user funds are at risk, or were lost.

The @Bybit_Official hacker used several signers to sign a transaction which replaced the implementation contract with a malicious contract. Then the hacker used backdoor functions to withdraw assets.
