My son has started tinkering around with RPG Maker last night. He already made a super small game with companions, funny little dialogues, a decent story, and even a cool boss fight. I'm proud and slightly scared. (I started out there myself, with RPG Maker 2000.)

RetroSpace has a lot of "hidden features" that we intentionally don’t tell players about. You need to experiment a lot to uncover them. Like: you can use the electric fuse cells as chain-reaction bombs, and you can recharge them by placing them in electrified water.

Most of the locations in RetroSpace are vast, complex, and open. Like the Nexus Garden for example. No quest markers, no handholding, just you, and the station; the feel of exploration and adventure...

I'm so glad that Galactic Racer is not just a cash-grab remake. It is a genuine full-fledged game which is brave enough to take risks. A story-oriented roguelike racing game, and it's not even just about pod-racing? You crazy?! But it worked. And I LOVE it, like I'm 10yo again.
