On the one hand, you claim an emergency in India. On the other hand, you march in the streets, display anti-government banners, speak to the media, and post on social media. Both can’t be true at the same time. Smoke something strong enough to light up that brain bulb of yours.
Highly recommend watching 'Tenzing' on @AppleTV. About Tenzing Norgay (portrayed by Genden Phuntsok), Edmund Hillary (portrayed by Tom Hiddleston) and the 1953 British expedition to Mount Everest. Brilliantly crafted by Jennifer Peedom, with superb acting and background score.
Vijayadashami/Dussehra is an annual reminder of the triumph of good over evil. Celebrate the eternal glory of Lord Ramachandra. Whether demons or cockroaches, burn them all.
Whenever you are told that a protest is led by students, young people, or Gen Z, take that with a pinch of salt. We have seen such protests in India, France, and elsewhere.
Look at the violent scenes from France (and other parts of Europe) today. The fusion of left-liberal politics with Islamism has become antithetical to the native social fabric. Anarchy is fashionable in today’s world. The idea of a peaceful protest appears oxymoronic.
Those who chanted slogans, wrote op-eds, and filed mercy petitions in support of Islamist terrorists like Afzal Guru, Yakub Memon, and Burhan Wani yesterday are proclaiming their love for India and the Indian flag today. We see through your hypocrisy and deceit.
The BJP popularised tricolour-centric political rallies in India over the years. The commentariat dismissed them as excessive nationalism and whatnot. Funny how the ‘Tiranga’ template, when used by the cockroaches, is now deemed nationalistic by the same commentariat.

You can’t perpetually hold Delhi to ransom for your so-called protest for democracy. Not everyone makes money out of protests. People have work to do and a living to earn. This protest by cockroaches should be called out and buried deep in the garbage, where they belong.
Neha Bora celebrates the toppling of Sheikh Hasina's government in Bangladesh, whereas Prashant Bushan openly advocates regime change in India. If you still think the clamour raised by cockroaches is about democracy in India, you have chosen to wear blinkers.

The most misappropriated slogan of our times is ‘Inquilab Zindabad’. Every effort should be made to thwart the very ‘Inquilab’ it calls for in India.

Flashing a red-bound copy of the Constitution of India has to be one of the stupidest acts in recent Indian political history — or should I say, protest history? But then, stupidity is passed off as ‘courage’ in the current political discourse in our country.

With the passing of JNU Prof. Kamal Mitra Chenoy, I recall how vociferously he supported JKLF terrorist Yasin Malik. He left no stone unturned in campaigning against India, particularly on Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Long-time J&K observers will remember what Chenoy stood for.
What are people smoking when they claim that current events in Delhi are comparable to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre (1919) and the Emergency (1975-77)? Someone needs to explain these absurd analogies and reveal what they are smoking.

Equating Delhi’s events with Kashmir’s decades long battle against terrorism ignores the scale and context of the challenge. Yet for some journalists, peace post-Article 370 is an inconvenient truth. Kashmir has long been milked for political narratives. When bias trumps truth, journalism becomes propaganda.
Imran Khan, Aamir Khan’s nephew, is trying to resurrect his career on Instagram while being detained at the cockroach protest in Mumbai. I hope Farhan Akhtar takes note. For the uninitiated, check out Farhan Akhtar’s golden words during the anti-CAA protests.

Mistaking a Delhi protest for India's national mood is a colossal misreading. Cameras amplify the loudest voices while millions remain unheard. The streets reveal who protests, not what a nation thinks. Visibility is not majority. Noise is not consensus.
Drawing parallels between Kashmir and Delhi is ridiculous. However, it reminds me of an old Kashmiri treatment for misbehaviour: stinging nettle on the bums of cockroaches. In Kashmiri, we call it 'Soi Shalakh'. You will see how fast they all break into the dance of democracy.
