Breaking - Late Friday afternoon, @govevers provided my office with 1,943 pages of commutation records. It's going to take some time to go through them.
Two years ago, Milwaukee's Common Council voted to give themselves 15% raises.
This year, they're only giving themselves 8% raises. $17,000 in raises over 2 years.

Every @WISenateDems vetoed against a bill that would have stated that the removal of a ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion.
Since Roe was overturned, deaths from ectopic pregnancies have nearly doubled — more so in states with abortion bans.
Extreme restrictions and abortion bans take life-saving healthcare options away from women across Wisconsin. I applaud Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s lawsuit to fight these restrictions and as governor, I will work to protect these reproductive freedoms for Wisconsinites.

Are UW-Madison’s taxpayer-funded resources being used to advocate for the release of a double murderer? This 22 page letter on UW letterhead explicitly asks Evers to free incarcerated killer Daniel Cerney. His is a complex case. The victims’ family wants him released. But the the Monroe DA doesn’t.
He said that Cerney and his co actor “needlessly and ruthlessly ended the lives of two genuinely decent and good people, one of which was an 85 year old grandmother…The facts of Mr. Cerney’s crimes are particularly egregious, heinous and ruthless.” Both victims were shot. Cerney was 16.
My question is - what UW resources are paying for this? Is that appropriate if they are?
