Twenty-five of our project Frontier teammates recently joined community members in Abilene, Texas, for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, alongside general contractor @kiewit. About 459,000 Texans age 65 and older are living with the disease, and an estimated 1.3 million family members and friends care for people living with dementia. Those caregivers provide 1.9 billion hours of unpaid care each year, valued at $35.6 billion. The @alzassociation supports people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, along with their families and caregivers, through education, support services and local resources, while advancing research toward better prevention, treatment and a cure. Through project Frontier, we provided a donation to Shackelford County 4-H, a program of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, to cover youth membership costs for the year. Shackelford County 4-H gives local kids hands-on opportunities in agriculture and livestock, STEM, natural resources, health, leadership, citizenship and community service. That work builds confidence and life skills that go well beyond the classroom. Our AZ1 and AZ2 teams (Arizona), along with partners Southland and @DPRConstruction, recently came together to support local students through a Back-to-School Backpack Drive with @AFFoodBank. Together, we donated more than 100 backpacks and boxes of school supplies, totaling 329 pounds, to help unsheltered and low-income families throughout the community prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.
