Someone on this app passed away and upon checking their profile, I saw messages they left for me requesting financial assistance to get medical attention which I unfortunately didn’t even notice until they passed away. It took a while for me to recover from the guilt that struck me. But wAllahi one thing we can all agree on including Tinubu’s hired supporters is the fact that these kinds of financial hardship tweets & billing DMs have more than tripled since Tinubu’s economic disaster kicked in. Average Nigerians are really suffering, and the worse reality is that even those who have access to medication are not safe from the fake drugs pandemic Nigeria is suffering from which can instantly damage your kidney and put you in another circle of medical disaster.
Bad governance doesn’t just destroy your life, it can end it in many ways.

Dear Arewa young people, you do not need to demean yourselves, antagonise your own people or act like political enforcers to prove loyalty to Tinubu.
If you want to justify your support for him publicly, make the argument with facts. Tell people what his policies have achieved and how they have improved their lives. At the very least, acknowledge people’s grievances and explain what you believe the government is doing to address them.
You cannot win people over by showing contempt for them or deliberately annoying the very people you are trying to convince.
There are people currently holding positions in this government who are constantly dragged into conversations simply because they refuse to publicly criticise it over the hardship people are facing. Yet they know how to handle it intelligently without forcing any candidate down people’s throats or rubbing their proximity to government in everyone’s face.
There is a difference between political support and performative loyalty.

I have read the exchange between Bashir and Billy more than once, I promise, and I don’t know what to make of it; the only reason for that reply has to be pain.
Pain that she was right, and there is nothing he could say or do to bounce back from that 🤣
If Billy is arrested because of that tweet, it will just be a case of I am with government and you are not, not because she is wrong.

I strongly believe Mallam will be released after the election.
There is an aura around Mallam that they are afraid of. With Mallam moving freely, it will damage their re-election chances.
You can see for yourself his impact when the APC governors said power must go to the South. In fact, Sen. Ahmad Lawan was presented as a consensus presidential candidate because the then APC chairman and some cabals were not on the same page with Tinubu. But Mallam rallied his colleagues and nullified the consensus candidacy.
When he dumped the APC for the PRP, you could see how people were joining. It was at that time I got to know the PRP Chairman, Gaidam.
He played a major role in rallying the opposition to form a coalition that formed the ADC. I strongly believe that if Mallam were not in detention, the ADC would not have scattered the way it has today.
Keeping him in custody is for a reason; they know the damage Mallam can cause.
And few of his friends, like Emir Sanusi, do not have much power on their end. In fact, a wrong move by him could lead to his dethronement, just like the Emir of Zazzau who is under Uba Sani.
His friends are actually powerless here and don't have much to offer, but visiting the family and phone calls will go a long way in keeping their relationship intact.
Mallam @elrufai will overcome this because I know he is a strong man. This shall pass one day and it will become history.

Because this post of yours only shows that you either don’t follow El-Rufai @elrufai’s case or you fundamentally lack an understanding of the case.
To begin with, El-Rufai doesn’t need anyone’s sympathy as he’s made clear.
And the above note doesn’t come as a lamentation of being abandoned by “supposed” friends, as you put it.
Secondly, what is the relevance of El-Rufai’s case to your friend in Saudi that got into trouble? I see no link here whatsoever.
What is the “trouble” that El-Rufai got into?
He was first accused of misappropriating and mismanaging Kaduna State resources while he governed the State. Charges that took them a month to produce after detaining him.
Then he was accused of wiretapping NSA Ribadu’s phone, to which there was no proof except a Deji Adeyanju who was presented as witness for being in Arise TV when El-Rufai made the statement over which he was accused.
Which of the above is the “trouble” that El-Rufai got into?
He was simply accused, and no convincing evidence has been provided almost 8 months into his detention. That’s even why he made a no case submission on the wiretapping issue.
You also claimed that the Federal Government is fighting him, but he’s been granted bail by two Federal High Courts in Kaduna and Abuja respectively. The only Court that denied & still denies him bail is the Kaduna State High Court. How comes he’s fighting the FG but her Courts were allowed to grant him “bail”, save for Kaduna High Court?
You may claim that “we all know..”, yes we all know. But that’s not a strong defence. Not when you come trying to absolve his “supposed friends”, claiming that they can do nothing.
And to be clear, “lobbying the FG” isn’t the “best” El-Rufai’s friends can do. He doesn’t even want that by the way. But if it’s all that you think of, then something is fundamentally wrong somewhere.
Supporting a friend doesn’t mean asking for a favour or lobbying on their behalf. Mere showing up, speaking up and/or utilising available legal instruments for them often send the strongest messages.
When your Emir Sanusi, then CBN Governor was suspended by Jonathan, El-Rufai was at the MMIA Lagos to receive him while he returned from Niger Republic. El-Rufai was a private citizen then and not in good terms with Jonathan, having been physically assaulted by soldiers and invited by the DSS after attempts to raid his Abuja home. Yet, he stood with his friend and dared the consequences.
Similarly, he stood up for your Emir Sanusi again when Ganduje dethroned and banished him to Loko, Nassarawa State. He was there personally to show solidarity and took Sanusi out of Loko while the legal battle was being initiated. El-Rufai even created more of a makeshift Palace for Sanusi in Kaduna as a friend.
Those are public gestures witnessed by millions of Nigerians. That can’t be said about Sanusi.
What about the Uba Sani and Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, whom El-Rufai literally made the Governor & Emir respectively? They’re even attacking him.
What about many other “friends” of El-Rufai like them.
When did any of them visit him in detention, escorted him to Court, or challenged the bail conditions that are against a Court of Appeal ruling?
If you have any evidence one of them did, please share with me.
So even if El-Rufai complains (which he didn’t), he has the right to. And you (who’s not among his friends) can’t come and claim they can do nothing. You don’t know his friends and their influence as much as him.
You should be focused on the abuse of power & judicial process against El-Rufai, not meddling in friendship with such a weak defense.
