I’m very proud of my brother. Not just for earning a terrific article that praises his many achievements, but for the man he’s become.
This is the category-defining profile of one of the most important figures and institutions in American business, investing, and technology.
Joshua Kushner and Thrive Capital.
Kushner and his partners speak, as do Sam Altman, Jony Ive, Demis Hassabis, and John Collison.
It’s a story of the American dream. One that travels from the Holocaust in Eastern Europe through postwar Budapest, a refugee camp in Rome, Cold War New York and New Jersey, post-9/11 America, the recent history of venture capital, the AI revolution, wartime Israel, and Rick Rubin’s backyard.
It tells, with fresh eyes and ears, what happened during the 2023 OpenAI coup attempt. It takes you inside critical moments at Stripe and GitHub. And it shows how Kushner’s team of émigré and provincial castaways built Thrive into a rampart for the American experiment.
The ending will give you goosebumps.

Ela buscou a essência.

Jiu-Jitsu is more than a martial art. Rooted in tradition and guided by the 753 Code, it builds physical confidence, mental clarity, and emotional balance

A rare inside look at the Valente Brothers Black Belt Test reveals a tradition developed nearly two decades ago to honor and preserve the legacy of Grandmaster Helio Gracie. This rigorous evaluation, reserved for candidates testing for their black belt, assesses physical, psychological, and theoretical skills. Held at the VB headquarters in N Miami Beach, known as the Kodokan of BJJ, the test remains a highly anticipated and closely guarded event.

Paiva pontua!

Here's my conversation with @IvankaTrump, a businesswoman, real estate developer, and former senior advisor to the President of the United States. We talk about politics, architecture, philosophy, fashion, music, parenting, martial arts, and much more.
I've gotten to know Ivanka well over the past 2 years. We first connected over our mutual love of reading and discussing books (for example by Marcus Aurelius, Joseph Campbell, Alan Watts, etc). She is a truly kind, compassionate, and thoughtful human being, and I'm honored to be able to call her a friend.
