This argument is always so weak because it doesn't take people like me into account who were actually 13 when Halo 4 came out.
If everything is based on nostalgia shouldn't I be looking at Halo 4 with the same rose-tinted glasses if it was just because I was young? Why am I fighting for a return to form rather than arguing that Halo 4 was a good evolution of the franchise?

It built the console FPS controls, popularized online gaming, invented ranked + social MM, Theater Mode, Forge (map editor + UGC on console), blew up MLG/GBs, and dominated YouTube.

I am pretty sure there are 5 games that are my ideal version made by the original creators of the fucking franchise very much so exist.
