The DI Council approved changes to transfer windows in all sports to 45 days, including:
🏀Men’s & women’s basketball: 45 days
🏈Football: 45 days (30 days after season, 15 days in spring)
Council actions are not final until meeting concludes today.

Virginia Senate Bill 223 (NIL) passes unanimously. No substantial changes from the August version. Adds additional clarity and definition to the application of NIL activity in the state.

Unrelated to NIL but still has implications on NIL future. The Alston case dealt with the NCAA's restrictions on providing college athletes with non-cash compensation, such as textbooks and other materials related to academics. Things are about to move very quickly!
Coaches when they find out that the COVID recruiting dead period is FINALLY OVER!!!
All sports will return to their legislated recruiting calendars on June 1.
